I have read hundreds and hundreds of books over the years. I can honestly say, that the Mistborn trilogy stands out as one of the best series I have read. The conclusion of this trilogy literally left me with goose bumps. As Vin, Sazed, Elend, and company fight a war that seems all but over, the thrilling triumph at the end was amazingly original and powerful. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Science-Fiction/ Fantasy. I eagerly await more stories for the world of the Mistborn. The setting, plot, and magic system in this series are all original and well thought out and could very well be the base for a spin-off role-playing game of it's own. I give this series, and especially it's conclusion a definite 5-stars. With his Mistborn series, Sanderson joins the ranks of George R. R. Martin, Terry Brooks, Raymond Feist, and other great Fantasy authors. A definite must read!

Disappointing...

I don't want to be a spoiler for anyone who chooses to read book 3, so I'll just sum up by saying this book took way too long to get to a disappointing ending. I really enjoyed book 1 and 2, but this book was hard to get through and when I finally did I thought, "I spe...
I don't want to be a spoiler for anyone who chooses to read book 3, so I'll just sum up by saying this book took way too long to get to a disappointing ending. I really enjoyed book 1 and 2, but this book was hard to get through and when I finally did I thought, "I spent all that time reading these 3 giant books to have it all end like that?" It felt like a waste of time.

Great conclusion to the Mistborn series!

This is the third and final book in the Mistborn Series. This author has a great mind and really stretches it out here. The characters remain strong and easy to commit to... the combination of politics and religion should be rather dry subjects but he makes them so well wrapped with the world he has built and the characters he has created, it is masterful and it is nearly impossible to put down the book!
He reminds me a little of Stephen Donaldson in that the story becomes very dark before the resolution. It isn't your typical romance!
    A definite great read!

    Great

I have been a Sanderson fan for a while now and I must say that his mistbirn series is my favorite. Book three ended decently well. It wrapped up all loose ends and even left open a couple doors for another book (which he did write and is available now). Great book.

    Series keeps getting better

The only reason this isn't 5stars is the large amount of rehashing what happened in the previous book and earlier in this one

    Good read

I did enjoy this book as did I the other 2. I found it to drag a bit in the middle but enjoyed some of the character developments though there were not a many as I would have liked. The ending was good but not exactly they way I wanted it to end. It was alright but not supper warm and fuzzy. Worth the read though.

Strong Ending to a Good Trilogy

An original fantasy trilogy, distinctive and satisfying. Book 2 was the best book of the series, but each book has its charms.
