Leithart introduces this book by presenting the case for Christians reading classical literature. He evaluates several works including The Iliad and The Odyssey. In each, Leithart points out important literary elements. Beyond this, emerge insightful character studies and an examination of the worldviews presented in each work. It is, in its least benefit, a quasi-Cliff notes. Much moreso, Leithart has provided a beneficial course in the Greco-Roman worldview! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
