Heroes of the United Nations

Highly recommended - you must check it out!!!

I'm a great supporter of the United Nations and its work around the world and issues like human rights, development, MDGs, peace, security, and climate change... Was given this book as a present and ended up loving it. It's a great collection of speeches, articles, interviews about great men and women. Not just well-known 'heroes' like Dag Hammarskjold, but also unknown UN staff members who have dedicated their lives -- and some of them lost their lives -- in search of peace. Wow! Read the story of Carlo Urbani for instance: while in South East Asia for WHO, he discovered SARS and a few months later died from SARS. Great read!
