The cover afghan alone is worth getting the book for
This is a great book with so many different styles of afghans, covering different levels of skill. I bought it because I fell in love with the cover Blue Star afghan, and for me it was worth getting the book just for that. I made it for my daughter, and it turned out to be probably the most beautiful one I've made. In jr. high now, she will still bring it to school any chance she gets, to show it to art teachers, or to enhance reading and/or history classes if it pertains to something they're studying, and that is what finally propelled her interest in crocheting so that now she has learned and can do it herself. I have made a couple others from this book, and have more bookmarked for the future. This is one of my favorite books, and I highly recommend it.Was this review helpful? This book is wonderful!
This collection of winning afghans from Herrschner's annual contest is superb! I was very pleased with the range of afghan styles: from grannies,to mile-a-minute, to tunisian crochet and traditional knitting. It has one of my favorite Angel Afghan patterns and some wonderful charted designs. I not only walked away with a few ear marked to make, I had lots of ideas for creating my own masterpieces. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
