He's Gone is a very well written book about the consequences of our actions. In the days that Ian is missing, Dani reflects on their relationship.  How it began, where it began, how it developed into the marriage they have today and she is a bit disappointed in the truths she forces herself to face.  Disappointed in herself and the pain she has caused others.  But she is also desperate to remember what happened when they got home from that party Saturday night.  As a reader you can sense the frenzy of panic building in Dani with each day that Ian is missing.  It just keeps building and building until the truth comes out.  Sometimes in books like this the conclusion is a bit of a disappointment, but I was really satisfied with the conclusion of He's Gone.

Bottom line, you may or not be familiar with Deb Caletti as a YA author, but I think with He's Gone, Caletti has given us a solid debut into Womens Fiction.  If you are looking for a book to immerse yourself into this weekend, then He's Gone is definitely worth your attention.

To diimi...please stop with the plot spoilers. No one cares that you got the book for free for you *honest* review and i am sure the publisher would not appreciate you giving away the entire plot of the book causing other readers to not buy the book. Just state if you liked the book or not. Giving away the plot line is rude and inconsiderate to other readers. Please think of us next time you are considering revealing every detail of a book. We would like to read the book for ourselves too, and be surprised at what happens, not be told by you everything that has already happened.

    Too many analogies...

So disappointed. I was really hoping for a thriller but found myself skipping throught the never-ending analogies just to get to the core story. I forced myself to keep reading to get to what turned out to be a very anticlimatic ending... rerund please

and who could blame him ?? -- argh! Absolutely wonderful writing wasted in a naval gazing whine about self guilt and examination  to the exponential  degree.

There was a lot of promise here, but that quickly goes away. There was too much reflection and not enough story. I almost didn't want to finish it was so bad.

What a complete waste of time! So long winded, I wanted to scream! I thought the book was suppose to be a mystery, not a journey through the main character's life. The husband, who has vanished, is only slighty touched on. It was like he was a bit player. The ending was so obvious, I figured it out immediately.

This book was NOT a mystery, so if that's what you're looking for, don't look here.
