Cheyenne experiences as a doctor, one of life's biggest fears, the loss of a loved one. She didn't understand how the sister she lost could love a God that allowed her to suffer with a husband that claimed to be a Christian yet abused his wife. Confused and grieving she is forced to escape her normal routine to a friends hideaway home in the Ozarks. There she finds solace in the people of Hideaway. She's instantly involved in these heartwarming characters lives as they pull her into their world. You'll love the characters and immediately connect with them too!! I didn't want to put it down... especially towards the end... because I didn't want it to be over. The love and support that Cheyenne receives begins a huge transformation in her life. Really liked this one!!

    Engaging Suspense

The authors, a doctor and his wife, write books you can't put down. Well developed characters and interesting locales keep the book moving at a rapid pace. This is a very good read.

    Troubles Abound

If you don't like cussing, drinking, sex & carrying on then you will like this book. The book smoothly progresses from one scene to the next. The main character is Cheyenne. You get to know the character & understand why she makes the choices she does. There is a build up of suspense as people & their lives are added to Cheyenne's life. There are wonderful characters that she becomes friends with. This is not a fast-paced book. You get to know the characters. There is more than one mystery in this book which makes you want to know how it all ends. There is an anti-climax that involves Cheyenne's brother-in-law that is satisfying. This book is a good read.

    ok

While this was classified as romantic suspense, I would have to disagree. The romance between Dane and Cheyenne was innocently sweet, but where was the suspense? The events in the story did not build up to the suspenseful climax. There was none! The plot was weak, I was more interested in the situation with Cheyenne's sister than what was going on in the town. The vandal in a suspicious small town idea has been overused and that definitely did not help the lacking storyline. The only reason I gave this book three stars was because I liked the romance between Dave and Cheyenne. There just was no suspense!
