    Strangely Disappointing

I was quite disappointed with this particular book by Karen Marie Moning[sorry for those who loves this book]. I did not start of the series with the very first one which is Beyond the Highland Mist. I started with the story of Adam and Gabrielle in The Immortal Highlander which i loved by the way. Circenn intrigued me being that he is Adam's son. Anyway, in short, his father's story was much more amazing and compelling compared to his. Maybe because Gabrielle has a wayyyy stronger personality and decisive compared to the ALWAYS maiden-in-distress and indecisive Lisa(the love of Circenn's life!). I've read more tragic stories than her life story in other books but they most certainly did not strike me as a too weakling and annoying characters! So maybe it has something to do with the writing![Try "The Book of Scandal by Julia London. The woman there cried for 3/4 of the book but wow, her tragedy was more heartfelt. I was so into the story i did not even get annoyed with her but with this one!!arghhhh]

Goodness!! He was too good for someone like her! Seriously! She was either depressed or REALLY depressed OR deliriously happy because WOW! A guy that is too good for her is partnered to her! This book took me days to finish while skipping so many pages at that!!!

By the time i finished the book, i did not care whether they would ever see each other again or that they don't get a happy ending. In fact, I think i would have given the book a higher rate if they did not end up with each other.
