I bought this book direct from the author who I came to know from her pretty cool Facebook page. Not only will you find great ideas for some mighty wonderful tasting food but you will learn a philosophy about food, eating and sustainability that will change the way you think about nourishment. Jean is rather colorful and a delight to follow. She includes interesting food facts and quips and makes the reading of a cookbook rather fun and enjoyable. She is a "food historian-sustainable-type from the Sixties up for a last subversive hurrah!" You will not be disappointed by this book. ~MariaWas this review helpful?
