    Hella Good

As a religion major, hell is one of my favorite subjects. I chose this book at random off the shelve & was SO HAPPY that I did. A book about Hell for a gift idea or displaying it on your coffee table for guests might be a bit morbid for some people. However this book is more about Hell's history & its effect on our entire way of life. It's informative, up-to-date, well written & laid out, and has dozens of good points to make. The only thing I wish it included is the concept of Hell surrounding the East/Asia--this book focuses strictly on religions in the Western world.

    Overall...

This book was a bit challenging to get through, but in the end I was well informed of the different types of hell. The book is very well academically written and was very imformational. I read it for my English 101 class and compared it to many different forms of hell, such as: psychological, metaphorical, and physical. I enjoyed this book...somewhat.

    Great Book

An outstanding guide with extraordinary detail toward different beliefs in the afterlife. I couldn't put it down. Everytime I started to read it felt as if I went into another world! What really captivated me was the exquisite artwork that portraied toward hell. The scriptures were magnificent. I recommend it to anyone interested in occult or just plain literature.

    Very Well Done

Informative and interesting. It does focus almost entirely on Christain hell, when it would have been nice to have more information on other culture's underworlds. Great pictures.
