    Hindsight is 20/20

Americans prowled all over Germany in the years of Hitler's rise to power. Who knew what was coming? Who swept what under the rug? How blind could the willfully blind be?

    Worth reading

"Hitlerland" is well written. It serves as a complement to William Shirer's "The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich as well as Shirer's other writings based upon his years living in Germany as the Nazis germenated and rose to power. I recommend "Hitlerland" as an ancillary to more in-depth and broader scope works.

    Thoughtful reading

I previously read Auschwitz. This book gives insight into the constellation of issues leading up to WWII. I understand much more now of the zeitgeist then.

Excellent decription of Germany in the 1930's

A great presentation of life in Germany in the 1930's thru the eyes of many foreign diplomats and media personnel. It clearly describes the transition of the German nation from a defeated country to the
rise in power of Hitler and his Third Reich.
