I have read so many of Harlan Coben's books and I've never been disappointed! Once you get involved in the suspense and the action, it's really hard to put his books down and this book is no exception. When children are in danger, despite their ages, I'm always reading in high gear. You want to somehow help, so you're riveted. The characters are real and you buy in at the very beginning! Mr Coben has given us another page turner and the pages just don't turn fast enough!

Tamer Psychological Thriller

An entertaining Coben. For once, a psycho torturer who doesn't have a major role and isn't that scary!

Not my favorite Coben, but definitely entertaining for many hours in the car. A modern plot and overly mature teenagers made the story seem very plausible. A few plot lines quickly pulled together in the end made the ending seem a bit too convenient.

    Not his best

I'm a big Coben fan but this one was very disappointing. I missed the big suspense that is in his other books. I found myself not really caring about the characters in this book also. I miss the old Coben, like in Gone For Good........now THAT was an excellent book. Hold Tight seemed like it was written by another author.

    Hard To Follow

Not the same 'can't put it down' type of book. However, it won't keep me from reading the next one.

    Rush to Print?

Mr. Coben is one of my favorites. Even though his themes tend to run the same course he makes each work interesting and unique. Suspense is endemic with his novels. Not so Hold Tight. It was a struggle to finish. The story lines (you had to follow several) didn't flow, they tended to mesh under force so the fit was never good. It almost seemed that this book was put out quickly to ride the wave of the recent number of successes for this author. I wish this had been allowed to sit and incubate longer.

    Great author but disappointing book

I have read every single one of Harlan Coben's books and loved them...so what a disappointment! The stories never really merged or made any sense. I was constantly hoping for more but the story constantly fell flat throughout the entire book.

    Another 'Tell No One' formula

I have read every book written by Coben (even his first book which no one ever mentions). Since 'Tell No One,' every stand alone title has involved the disappearance of a family member and the latest in computer or communications technology. This book seemed to be just another iteration of those themes. There were four story lines that were ineptly brought together in the end. The Myron Bolitar series is much better crafted and full of interesting characters.

    Shockingly disappointing

I've read all of Harlan Coben's books. Loved every one. I could not wait for this one. I was at Barnes & Noble doors when it hit. Maybe my expectations were that this book would be like his other works--terrific--but, boy, was I disappointed. This is one of the worst books I have ever read and I am an avid reader.
