How could you not LOVE it !

If you grew up watching the Yule Log as a child there is no doubt you will enjoy having it to watch & listen to at Christmas. Brings back fond memories and inspires that childhood magic that makes you want to run around the house singing Christmas carrols.

    Nostalgic and cozy, very nice!

This is a very good copy of the burning yule log. The kit contains the 90-minute DVD, plus a nice booklet about the history of the yule log, customs, songs, and recipes. It also contains four smaller sing-along books so that a group can join in the fun. The carols played are traditional, instrumental. The DVD is sharp and clear, and repeats over and over after its full 90 minutes has completed. It played continously for 15 hours straight on New Year's Eve into the morning at my house. The beginning starts off showing a fireplace and mantel, with two stockings hanging on it, but about 10 minutes into the DVD it changes to a close up of the burning fire. Then at about 44 minutes into it, it again shows the whole fireplace for about 5 minutes before reverting back to the fire close up, which is the way most of the DVD shows the fire - close up. Only one tip of the tallest flame is occasionally cut off. The rest of the fire is completely visible. The fire roars continously, with little sparks flying out, and you can choose to hear crackling plus music, or just hear the crackling. Or if you want complete silence, just turn off the sound on your TV. Great comfort for a winter's day and evening. Very soothing. Especially appreciated by those of us who live in the deep south without fireplaces, where a roaring fire would sweat us out. This is perfect for setting a cozy mood at holiday time or anytime during the winter. Highly recommended.
