Charming characters, adventure and intrigue, a great and discriptive background, humor, love, sex... everything a girl or guy needs to get in the mood. A wonderful story I'll be reading again and again. A great gift for anyone who's a romantic at heart. WONDERFUL!!!

GREAT READ!
Holly is one of my favorites from this author. It was intriguing and written smoothly from start to finish. I've read all of Jude Deveraux's books and she hasn't let me down once.

Loved It
I adored this book. I love the whole Taggart series so far and I'm not sure whether I love Nick from this story or Mike from Sweet Liar more.

I can't believe this is Jude Deveraux!! What happened??!! She used to be great but this was just terrible. The story stunk from the beginning. Poor plot development and completely BORING!! I'm through with buying anymore of her work. Save your money

Devereux=Manhater
I struggled through the last four books of Jude's. I was so upset at this that I could barely choose my words. Has Jude become a man-hater? Is it my imagination that all her books have the guys barely short of abusive and ignorant of women, and the women are all just taking a man against their better judgement? I was horrified. Sorry, Jude, but you've lost me for good. I won't even re-read the Velvet series and it was one of the best. too much Anti-male for a romance.

a fan
This was my favorite book so far. Loved the characters. Couldn't put it down! I would love to read a sequel to this story to see what happens to Nick and Holly and if they restore Belle Chere.

Perfectly written
I was given this book for Christmas. I loved this book. I could not put it down. This is the first book I read in one day. I loved the way she did with every character every setting every mood she put in this book. This is her best book that Jude has ever written.

Jude is back with a great romance
I read this one in one sitting. It's been a long while since that happened. Ms. Deveraux gets back into 'romance' with Holly. Nick is and awesome 'hero' and Holly is a terrific leading lady. Not to give much more away,,, but the underlying 'plot' was a good one, too... And it was so great hearing and 'seeing' the Taggerts and Montgomery names again! Could have been longer, but I always think that of books I so enjoy

worth reading
This book is probably in my opinion Jude Deverauxs worst but still worth reading it only took a couple of hours to read but was very predictable.

Just okay!
If you are interested in architecture pick this one, otherwise do not waste your money. Not a book to keep and reread. Borrow from your library and judge for yourself.

I don't usually read 'romance novels' and I found this very enjoyable. In fact, I couldn't put it down! I would reccommend.

A fun read
This was a good story. I enjoyed the fact they both wanted someone that loved them for them and not their money.... does it work out.... I am not telling, but it is a great story. My favorite is 'The Mulberry Tree' it is FANTASTIC.

good book for a soggy day
I picked this up on a soggy September day and I didn't put it down until I finished. It is classic Jude Deveraux a plucky heroine and a plot twisted like a pretzel. Jude Deveraux never dissappoints me.

It was a web of lies that wove them together
I don't care what anyone else said, this book was AWESOME! I finished it in a day. Both Holly and Nick had their lies, well everyone in the book had their lies but with these two it only wove them together. Ms. Deaverux has not become a man-hater, in this we see both the beloved Taggerts and Montgomery's. How can you go wrong with that?! As always the men of her books are proud and her women strong willed. It makes for the best combination. If you are smart you will read this book!

Love or Lust?
'Holly', by Jude Deveraux was a book i could'nt put down. It was a story about a girl forced to choose Love over Lust in a life changing situation. The book consists of characters very different from each other. Holly is a young female who has a different outlook on life. Her sister Taylor is very materialistic and has different goals for herself. Lorrie is a character that isn't used that often but plays a strong significant role, and then their is a manipulative character that makes changes throughout the story named Nick Taggert. One major conflict in the story is Holly choosing between two men that would be right for her. Jude Deveraux uses figurative language to make her story eye catching such as 'You're one hot cookie in bed.' Dramatic Irony is used in the story as well when a tragity in the story occurs, and leaves Holly with a tough decision she will have to make. Overall this book was great...I could not put it down. I recommend this book more to females who like romance and passion.

A romance thriller that you can't put down..
I just want to start off by saying that Holly by Jude Deveraux is a good book to read to past the time away. I read it as my 2nd quarter reading book and time just flew by. If you like romance intriguing books, Holly is the one for you. The theme of the book is that you don't know what life has in store for you. Dr. Nicholas Taggert and Holly Latham's relationship is so beautiful that it will bring tears to your eyes as the story of how they met and what they went through will have you cheering for more. Both characters are looking for love and in some way they find each other but danger is lurking. The author uses metaphors and personification to make you feel like you know the characters personally. Holly is a girl who wants to fall in love with a guy who knows how to treat her right, gorgeous, and rich. Nicholas is a doctor who just got out of a relationship with a girl who only wanted him for his status and he wasn¿t looking for anyone at the time. Lawrence is rich and he had some unforgettable memories with the main character Holly. It is ironic how Nicholas and Holly met because they didn't expect to fall in love with each other hence the situation they were in. Also it is ironic how the one you least expect to save Holly and Nicholas¿ relationship does. You would also expect more jealously between Nicholas and Lawrence. Lastly, when Holly was looking for 'the one', she didn't expect her standards to change. This is one reason why as a reader, the sudden change of heart will have you jumping for joy. The major conflict is that Holly is in love with two guys Nicholas is the stranger that came into her life when she was actually looking for Lawrence and Lawrence is the guy she is most compatible with and has had good memories with. The significance that the characters bring to the story is that love is blind and this adds to the theme of the story. I enjoyed the elaborate descriptions and how something new and interesting pops up every chapter. All in all, I recommend this book to anyone who is in a relationship or just got out of a relationship because it inspires you to do whatever it takes to find love.

Very Good
I picked this book up because it was cheap and I needed something to read in the airport. It ended up being amazing, and I couldn't put it down! Definitely a great novel. It was the first of hers that I have read, but will definitely not be my last!
