This book is everything a book should be: honest, questioning, funny, thought-provoking, challenging, and insightful. Jansen presents his story with candor and humor, and his writing is riveting. Even skeptics (like me!) can feel the tangible presence of all he experiences, and his story is undeniably fascinating. You'll finish this book feeling like you've found a friend in Gary Jansen. His heartache, doubts, fears, growth, insight, and humor are not easily forgotten; nor is the haunting sense that his experiences with the supernatural are just the tip of an unseen, ever-present iceberg. Highly recommended, regardless of your view on ghosts or haunted houses. Even if you're a wimp, like I am. (There was one point in this book when I got such a case of the willies that I had to put it down...only to pick it up again five minutes later because I couldn't bear not getting to the end.) More than a ghost story, this is a human story--one that bravely seeks answers to questions of grief, love, loss, God, and the human spirit.

An honest story of the journey from a skeptic to a believer.

Gary Jansen writes with wit and clarity as he describes how he learned about the existence of Earth bound spirits living in his home for the most of his life. He struggled with the teachings of his religion, and the contradiction between what he was taught, and what he experienced. The book is hard to put down once you get started. It's an easy read, yet it is profound.

    Highly Recommened

Born and raised in Rockville Centre, G. Janson hit it in the bulls eye with the village of RVC, and its history.

    You should check it out

I thought it was a rather short book, but it held my interest. I think it was well written and a very easy read if that is what you are lookihg for.
