    Poor Aspiring Writers Rejoice!!!!

Aesthetically, this book engages your sense of beauty without overwhelming it. The pen flows over the pages, kissing with every movement. If your heart is breaking, the pages absorbs the teardrops like the soil absorbs light. It is the silent listener of all your complaints, and the quiescent rejoicing of all your true insights. And, most importantly, the price is right. Therefore poor writers, rejoice!!!

    I GOT TO HAVE MORE!

For a writer who is trapped on cash--you simply can not go wrong with this buy. It's very elegant in it's simplicity. It's durable..and the PRICE! Did somebody make a mistake? If so, I'm going to stock up on this rare jewel before B&N figures out their mistake! Buy this! I've been searching for a juornal with the right touch and this meets it in every way. There's plenty of neatly lined pages, a ribbon mark...Oh, I could go on! But you get the point.

    Fits Oberon leather journal cover

I've been looking for a lined journal that fits the Oberon leather journal covers (large, 6x9"), and this one fits perfectly.

    Great Journal

I've used these journals for three years now and have yet to be disappointed. They're simple, classy, and durable which I appreciated because I took them everywhere and was quite hard on them. I have two in pink, two in blue, one in purple, and one in green. I definitely took advantage of the variety. The icing on the cake was the price! I have no complaints.

I have chosen these for my life journals

When I decided to start journaling for life, I bought probably about 10 different types of journals, from the basic (such as this one) to the premium (leather-bound, gold-edged pages) to try out. While I liked some of the high-end journals, this one really stood out for its value and practicality. First of all, you can't beat the price. Second, you get a good, sturdy, very usable and comfortable product! I am 2/3 of the way through my first one and it only shows a bit of wear on the corners, because I cart it around all over the place. The sewn binding is strong yet flexible, and opens flat once you break it in a bit. The cover is tough, and the part that protects the binding (where it folds) shows no signs of tearing from the fatigue of frequent use. I like the basic style: clean and black. I hope to keep several volumes over the years, and they will look good stacked in a row on a bookshelf. I like the size-- just right for carrying around, not too small to write in. I like the size of the writing lines, and the small margin around them. I like the ribbon to keep my place. In short, although this is not a premium journal and does not use premium materials, it is sturdy, affordable, and gets all the important things right. I'm buying a box of them for future use and to give as gifts.

    Awesome

This journal is the best. I "discovered" it years ago and have not looked back. I don't even know how many I've bought, and I will keep buying them. They are simple, just the right size and hold together well. Love it!!

I'm a writer, and I'm also a teenager, meaning, I have no money. But this, this is awesome! I have two, one for myself, and one for a character journal for obviously, one of my characters. I plan on buying tons more. This is a must have for everyone!

    Basic black lined journal

Simple journal but elegant and perfect for a guy. I use a fountain pen on this heavy weight paper and the pen just glides across the paper. This is one super value!

    Basic Black Lined Journal (5x8)

I just received this journal, and I have to say that it is one of the best I have seen. Usually, I am only able to get a few pages into journals before I give up on them, but this one is extremely nice. It has tons of thick pages, a ribbon for placeholding, and it has an overall elegant appearance.

    Outstanding Bargain in every way!

Like it so much I've bought half a dozen. Great for all journaling enthusiasts who don't want to spend a lot of $$. Some B&N carry it in Red and Silver too. The dementions and page layout are perfect. You really get your monies worth!

Avoid this product if you like to write

The paper in the journal is horrible. It can't take any decently wet inks, it soaks up 3 times the amount of ink, so plan on going through a lot of pens.

The thickness is massive, and very stiff, hard to write comfortably so any writing longer than about 15 minutes becomes painful. Hope you like writing at an angle!

The square inches of lined area (usable area). Moleskine 5"x8" = 8,100 sq. in., this journal only has 5,464 sq. in.. That means that for 2x the thickness you get only the equivalent of about 160 pages of Moleskine.

Sure it's cheap, but for a reason. It will be painful, soak up ink, rough writing, and the sheer shelf space taken is considerable. I'm going to use mine to start my fire pits now.

    It's Great!

I think it is great. Its not like the little kid ones you think is great when you buy it, then open up to dissapointment. see, since i write in a diary, this is very discreet, and shtylish at the same time, and the ribbon helps you to find your place. I havent gotten it but i can tell when I get something nice!

You get what you pay for.

I started daily journaling a while back with a leatherbound journal I received as a gift. When I filled it up I bought one of these as a replacement. It's a $5 journal; that's exactly what it is.

The paper/cardboard binding is very stiff, and it's rather clumsy to try to bend the spine open just to write in it. Not nearly as easy to hold open as the leatherbound ones I've looked at or had. The line spacing is quite narrow, a bit too much so if your handwriting has tall ascenders like mine, so I tend to overlap words.

That said, it's a $5 journal. You get what you pay for. It's a nice, understated, elegant black journal with a lovely ribbon to hold your spot. The paper is thick enough to have substance but thin enough to not be bulky, and is very smooth for writing. I don't know about the durability, it just sits on my nightstand and doesn't get beat up.
