I used to have a tube of colored lead that I could use with any mechanical pencil, but I can't find it anywhere now. When I saw this online, I thought, "Hey, it's colored lead!" Well, I get them in and I try them out. They write fine, very light though. The only color that erases completely is black. I use them for class, when I'm taking notes. They're not bad overall, just don't make any mistakes.

These live on my desk at work for downtime. They're not high enough quality for any sort of finished illustration, and the brittleness of the lead makes them difficult to use for an on the go sketchbook -my original intention in purchasing them. I have no idea how well they do or do not erase, but the colors are not saturated or deep. It takes a lot of build up to get any kind of coverage. Probably fine for writing, not so much for drawing. I like the idea tho, much tidier than traditional colored pencils, as there's no sharpener needed. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
