Despite third degree burns, this is a great gift!

I have always wanted a fondue set, so my wife, she's so thoughtful, got me one for Christmas. I said to myself, I am going to make Christmas dinner with this. I got myself as many 1-inch cubes of Gruyere cheese as my McDonald's salary could afford me (ten). Then I got myself a bottle of Duck wine (as a white wine substitute). I straightened out the legs as instructed and lit the candle. This is when the fire started...but have no fear. At McDonald's we are used to small fires and it was put out rather quickly. I then fed my entire family with this fondue set. It went for hours and hours. I never thought we would run out of this cheesy goodness. Mmmmm Fondue...

    Disappointing!!!

Assembly instructions are incorrect. The stand has three feet -- not four as is written. They must be bent so the heat can reach the fondue pot -- not 'as straight as possible'. There are also four forks, not two,as written. I realized they had problems with numbers. Thus, I was not surprised when the proportions in the recipe were completely off, and the amounts they specified did not fit into the tiny pot. In addition, the enclosed tea light did not light, even after removing the wax from the wick and pulling it up. I used my own tealight, but the pot did not heat evenly. I ended up using my own recipe, and making fondue over the stove. It was a hit. Anyone want to buy a mini fondue kit ,,, only used once?

    Wonderfully quaint

This tiny little book and fondue pot is a wonderful gift for the collector - and this one really works. The cookbook has wonderful recipes to get you started and the little skewers making trying your fondue dishes lots of fun. You will want to look for more items like this.

    A Great Introductory to Fondue!!!

Although the contents tend to be a bit small you have to love it anyway. The instructional book that comes with it is full of helpful recipes that can start you off on the right foot to enjoy many types of Fondue. It a great way to start a new hobby or learn about something you would have never thought of.
