WARNING: they're addictive, due to tremendous paper and binding quality, durability and super features like the elastic strap, ribbon marker, and the inimitable little 'tuck-pocket' inside the back cover. They're ALL they're cracked up to be and more! But once you've used one...count on never being able to resist MORE, in all their formats and types! (The Reporter's Notebooks are particularly habit-forming, especially for graduate students like me...) Ah, if there were only MORE than 5 stars to give!

Great Journal for whatever your needs

I have used Moleskin 5x8 journals for sometime to jot down my thoughts of the day and various other things that I think I should make note of. The overall quality of this products is really good if not the best excluding the handmade ones that you would find across the ocean in Europe. If you want to save money and have a journal that will last forever this is the journal for you. I plan on buying many of these for my studies that I will be doing in college and definetly for my entries for now on. Great product. You will not regret this if you buy it.

Best Journal Ever!

Sturdy. Small enough to be packed away in a purse or backpack. Luxurious paper. Small "hideaway" pocket in the back to stow away important (or not so important) documents. The IDEAL journal or notebook for just about any use.

Expensive, but durable

I like to use these for taking notes and meeting minutes. I like to keep all of my notes in one place and the journals stay in one piece over many months worth of rough use.

The Perfect Journal!

Outstanding quality, a built-in bookmark, lined pages, and small enough to tuck in a backpack or purse. This is EVERYTHING I have ever wanted in a journal! An added bonus is the color - simple black.

Inspirational

I use my notebook as a travel journal and sometimes I just write in what I'm feeling on random days. My journal has been all over the place, it goes on every trip I take. It is durable and a joy to write in. It travels well because of the slim design and use the back pocket to keep important mementos.

Wonderful High Quality

I enjoy every product from Moleskine, the pages are buttery, velvet soft, and supple, and the spine is durable, so the pages won't fall out. Writing on it is always a pleasure because your pen or pencil just glides over the page. Doesn't bleed easily too.

Black Moleskine Ruled Journal

a great idea...so far working out very nicely! I'd recommend this book for a handy place to keep your books you've read listed....

Perfect for journaling

I fill one of these in under a year with daily journaling. Another fills my need for note taking and research ideas - I prefer the quad rulled edition for that purpose. The books are well made and the paper quality is excellent. I use a fountain pen and there is no bleeding. The ribbon place-marker is a useful feature.

Best Pocket Sized Journal Around!

Moleskine journals are great. They are small enough to in sure that you always have it with you, yet sturdy enough not to fall apart. I never leave home without it. I keep needed information, lists, and notes on ideas all in one place.

LOVE them, in all sizes. I use them for notes, bible study, making shoping lists, jotting down pattern notes for knitting, If it is a book to use for lists, I start in the middle, so I can tear out pages.

If it is good enough for Hemingway...

Moleskine products will never disappoint. I have been carrying a small ruled notebook in my pocket for years to jot down notes and reminders to myself. I like the journal for copying down longer quotes from books in a commonplace book for later reference.

Black Moleshine ruled journal

I use this journal every day personally in my studies. I have at least a dozen of them, and I will buy more as the need arises. I like the size and the quality of paper and cover.

Wonderfully made notebook

I have been wanting a Moleskine notebook for a long time, but just couldn't think of a reason to have one. Finally, I bought one to keep track of my diet and exercise routine.

The book is well made. The cover is heavy enough to facilitate easy writing, but not so heavy that it adds too much weight. The pages are a nice thickness. I did start out writing with a felt tip pen (actually a Pilot Precise V5 rolling ball pen), and the ink bled through the pages. After that I switched to a ball point and eventually a No. 2 pencil. Both of those worked just fine.

The elastic band around the book helps to keep the pages closed when transporting. I really appreciate this because I can just throw it in my bag and not worry about damaging the pages within.

In the back is a handy pocket that expands quite a bit. Currently, I only have a couple things in the pocket so I don't know how well that would stand up to having lots of things stuffed in there.

I don't know if it is because of this notebook or not, but since I have had it (a couple of months now) I have successfully written down everything I have eaten and what exercise I have done every day.

This has lived up to all of my expectations and I will definitely be buying more of them!

my boyfriend uses this as he's in the medical field and absolutely loves this book! he was super excited to have found it at B&N so i purchased it for him.

Simply Efficient

These are great places to write ideas down. I think next time I'll get one of the sketching Moleskins.

Great for Artists

I get the graphical paper version and its great for copying down ideas that just in my head. Also cheap but duriable when i fill this one up I will buy another and eventually have library of my ideas to refer to later!

Nice, handy, and affordable

I bought this for school my professor ask us to have a journal of our own. This came in handy not cheap like a notebook, but not to expensive like a journal that has a leather caseing. Just nice easy, handy, and affordable for a college student.
