The feel of the two glass pens is nice- they are well made and have a nice weight to them. The inks included are very thin and bleed unpleasantly, even on very heavy paper. Oh, and the ink bottles make a huge mess- when first opened the sealer cracks and gets everywhere.

This is a beutiful set to look at. The pens are heavy, smooth, glass they are 8 inches long and have a fine point. You get six .31oz bottles of ink that is a bit thin and watery. The bottles are dipped in wax which makes them very messy to open but they do make a nice presentation. Users must remember that this is a dip pen and if you have never used one before it takes some practice to get the feel of it.

Ink bottles a total mess, Pens are nice

The ink bottles in this set are a messy pan to open, and they don't close again. How to use the set? No clue. I'm debating whether or not I want to return this one, I do like the pens.

The set smells of camphor, FWIW.

I think the bottles simply don't or won't close, so the ink will either leak or dry out. Not good. (Pretty colors, though.)
The pens feel nice in the hand, and are attractive.

Smelliest pen ever

This set is really cute the colors are really nice but when I opened the box I almost died the smell is horrible. I had to put the pens and bottles in a bowl of hot water and a lot of soap.

Nice pens, ink is *very* problematic

The pens are beautiful, but the bottles of ink are problematic at best. They are sealed with sealing wax (a very heavy, almost plastic, wax) which does keep them sealed well. Unfortunately, they are difficult to open and you will get ink all over your fingers. I recommend a knife to cut the wax, the string around the bottle looks as if it moved during sealing. The stopper also does NOT seal back up, so I had to use a regular cork to seal it back up again. Thank goodness that we had some corks!

Messy!

Two glass pens and a palette of wax sealed ink bottles. The wax is difficult to remove, and the stopper does not stay on the bottle, not a good thing with an ink bottle. I received this as a gift and I feel bad for the person who wasted her money on this product. I read some of the other reviews and it appears everyone else had the same experience.
