I purchased this for my 2nd grade sons for Christmas. While they loved this, the screen stopped working in less than a month. I saved the receipt and went to the Barnes and Noble I purchased it from (Cherry Hill, NJ) to get a replacement. I found one right away and brought it to the register to do the exchange. Unfortunately, the manager told me they do not accept returns for items that are opened and broken because they could not resell them. Well, how about the customer who can not use the item after only a few weeks? For $50, I think I should be able to return an item that was gently used and broke not from misuse but because it was cheaply made. Especially when it has been a month. I could understand if it had been months and it was cracked (which would have indicated a drop to the ground that could have caused a break). All I can say is that I would not recommend purchasing any electronics from here again. Very frustrating. And my sons are very upset. This was a nice tool for helping practice spelling words. What was more frustrating was the manager who did not seem to have any sympathy and compared Barnes and Noble to other stores that don't accept returns (Best Buys). They are not Best Buys, they are Barnes and Noble. Sad to see that they do not stand by their products. Don't expect them to be as fabulous as Nordstroms who will accept anything, anytime, regardless of the condition and refund you.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
