If you're pregnant or planning on getting pregnany, read this!

When I got pregnant, one of the biggest concerns I had (besides a healthy baby) was the part about actually giving birth. Not only was I scared because I knew it was going to hurt (and I'm a wimp), I found myself faced with choices about what kind of doctor I wanted and where I wanted this all to happen. How was I supposed to know? I'd never done this before! And everyone seemed to have an opinion about what kind of choices I should make. It wasn't until I read this book that I realized that I could have some control over the situation. Dr. Kerr helped me understand my choices in a way nobody else had been able to do up until then. Her stories about other women's experiences are so honest, down-to-earth, and non-judgemental. These were women I could relate to. My husband and I both read and loved this book, and I know that my own birth was a much better experience because of it. It was still scary, but I ended up feeling good about the decisions I made leading up to it, and that made all the difference. If you're feeling a little overwhelmed about the whole thing or know someone who is, read this book!
