An Unbelievable Read for All Students Studying Abroad!

Honor Bound is a riveting account of the Amanda Knox trial and events as seen through the eyes of her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. The attention to detail and the intense recall of the so-called "justice" system in Perugia was overwhelming at times. Amid the chaos and confustion, the story also cast a soft romantic light on the liason between Raffaele Sollecito and the free-spirited Amanda Knox. Well-written with dramatic detail about the power struggles and the corruption between the police department and the high court, the book carried itself to the end knowing that justice would finally prevail.

If you followed this case on National TV, like I did, you will find this book very interesting. The facts and explanations Mr. Sollecito gives are the same questions that surfaced in my mind when the case was unfolding. Its amazing that in today's society with DNA etc. that the classic witch hunt from our history continues to have the opportunity to evolve. Shame on the police, investigators and the Court system.

    Great perspective

Tragic event with little respect shown the family of this poor women who was killed. Instead a horrible distraction and which hunt of the innocent tragic the court system had so little respect for finding the truth and haunting so many lives. Note to self. Stay far away from Italy.

    Amazing Internal Struggle

Compared to Amanda's book I thought that he did a great job of explaining what he went through internally during the trials and especially in prison. Also credit must be given that he stood by Amanda even though all he had to say is that she left his apartment that night while he stayed home and he could have walk straight out of prison. Hopefully the truth will come out someday when Guede decides to tell us.

This book was so interesting. When this crime happened the focus was all on Amanda Knox. This is the story of her boyfriend, the man that was also caught up in the crime. It really opened my eyes on the Italian justice system, or lack thereof. It brought to light the way the crime was investigated, the way evidence was processed, the judges and officers that were involved. How the whole family was involved and punished for things they didn't do. This was Raffaele's story. They didn't know each other well. They had only been dating a short time but they had a bond that would carry them through 4 years of hell.
