Ryder Jefferson is the sole reason I had to read HOT FINISH. After reading the back cover and scouring USA Today's bestselling author, Erin McCarthy's website to get every morsel I could about this hot sexy Fast Track series. Ryder Jefferson is a larger than life character because he isn't your typical gorgeous Adonis character with a chiseled face and sculpted body-even though he is a walking talking girl's wet dream. He is unconditional in that Ryder wants to share his feelings; he's a romantic at heart and will do anything to win his ex-wife... I meant wife, Suzanne Jefferson back. Still clueless after all this time why Suzanne walked out on him. He thought they had a great marriage. He loved her. She loved him. They had no problem in the bedroom department. Every time they're in the same room the sexual tension is like an atom bomb waiting to explode.

Even though HOT FINISH takes place in the stock car racing world-which I know nothing about-and is fictional Ms. McCarty weaved an intricate story of a second chance on love. Making us believe that with love the heart will heal and in trusting that one special person you can conquer any fear. To read more you'll need to get a copy of HOT FINISH and let the Fast Track race into your heart

Hot Finish is the third book in Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series centering around NASCAR race car drivers. Suzanne and Ryder Jefferson married young and could never seem to talk about their marriage problems. After a few years they divorced feeling it was for the best. But Suzanne and Ryder somehow seem to keep the other still in their life, not to mention the pesky little problem of still having feelings for the other. Suzanne and Ryder are once again thrust together when the wedding Suzanne is planning is a NASCAR wedding the Ryder is the best man of the groom. To complicate matters it turns out the divorce papers were never signed properly and Suzanne and Ryder are still legally married.

Hot Finish was a major disappointment for me. I really enjoy Erin McCarthy's writing. I loved her last Fast Track novel, Hard and Fast choosing it as a top read for last year. With that in mind I was really looking forward to her next release. The main reason for my disappointment was that Suzanne was such a B*TCH!!! Honestly, she was not a very nice person. She was always griping and complaining. It was made even more glaringly obnoxious because Ryder was always so considerate and generous with her. I just couldn't stand the way she would treat him. Granted I will say that some of her behavior I could understand, but most of the time it just grated on my nerves.

Fortunately, Hot Finish is a well written book, with good dialogue between the NASCAR boys and the camaraderie between Suzanne and her friends. It's funny and fast paced like McCarthy's other books, but I just couldn't stand the heroine. If it wasn't for the stellar story telling I would haven't even finished the book. If you don't mind a prickly, b*tch heroine with a stick up her butt, then maybe you will enjoy this more than I did.

    Great Series

I really love this series. I was a little disappointed with Hard and Fast because I could not stand the female character, she was a walking contradiction! But all in all very entertaining, quick and sexy reads. I will always think of Hot Finish when I eat strawberries and champaign in the future! ;)

    Hot Finish Finishes Fair!

McCarthy's latest novel, Hot Finish, the third in her Fast Track Series, continues with the story of Suzanne and Ryder- favorite characters who made appearances in the first two novels. As a huge fan of both Erin McCarthy and the Fast Track Series, I had been anticipating this novel with glee. However, I was slightly disappointed after having loved the previous two stories. Her main characters in this novel somehow did not seem to match their previous characterizations in the previous books, and Ryder especially seemed weak and ineffective. However, overall McCarthy did spin a good tale, with somewhat raunchier sexual content than earlier in the series. If you enjoyed the previous two Fast Track books, you still should enjoy this story as well.
