House of Tailors
I liked this book, but it's not my favorite by Patricia Reilly Giff. I didn't really know what to expect when I started this, and overall I was pleased. It has a unique setting. I've never read anything set in the 1870s, especially not in Brooklyn, or from a German immigrant's point of view. I think it has a nice ending, too, because when you read the After Words, it pretty much tells you what happens to all of the characters in the future. Like I said, if you like historical fiction, I think you'll like this. It's a quick read, so maybe you can just read it when you have nothing else to read. :)Was this review helpful? sad and also depressing
This book made me really sad because a girl has to leave her country. what made me sad is that she never will see her family again. The reason she has to go is because she was captured by a soldier and she gets loose. she got captured because they thought she was a french spy.Was this review helpful?
