I immediately fell in love with this book.

Funny and touching, The House of Tomorrow is not only a good read, but it's also something different that you might not have seen before. I for one am extremely tired of every teen book out being about vampires. Anyway, the thing that immeadiately hooked me in was the situation the main character, Sebastian, was in. He had a totally different lifestyle then everyone else, and while it was strange, it was also very thought provoking. I also loved how it combined old school punk into the storyline. I'm a sucker for books that incorporate the history of punk music, so it was interesting to see how important it was in Sebastian and Jared's lives. The overall plot and storyline was good as well, & you could connect with at least one of the characters in the story.
So, if you're looking for something a little different, or maybe just a good read, I would most definitely give this book a read.

    Wonderful Escapist Fiction

While the characters may seem flat, it's Bognanni's wonderfully fresh writing style that breathes life into this work. The plot, sheltered teenage boy thrust into the "real world" and overwhelmed, is not by any means new, but is a plot that manages to win me over every time as you see someone introduced to all the things you know and already understand. Bognanni's control of his world is strong and though those inhabiting it are not deep or fully reach their potential, the joy of this book is seeing them do what they were designed to do and that is experience the world and teach our hero Sebastian how best to do just that.

    Extremely basic.

I fell in love with the first chapter of this book. It showed originality, promise and diverse characters. However, as I read on I realized that the characters only had one or two defining traits about their personality. Those traits were obviously elementary and they were overused. You couldn't escape how similar every person was beyond that. They all stayed as simple as they were in the infancy of the first chapter. Not to mention that anybody who actually listens to punk rock would be insulted and know that certain events in this book were very poorly portrayed.

    Love this book!

I first saw this book on the shelf at my local Barnes & Noble. The cover immeadiately caught my eye and I read the first page and knew I had to have this book. It is amazing! The characters are complex and I felt a connection to them throughout the book. This story is told in such a cool perspective. If you love punk rock music and love reading I would totally recommend this book. I read this book in just a couple days and I could barely put it down. Bognanni really captures the essence of being a teenager and having big dreams.

I have been waiting a long time for a book like "The House of Tomorrow" and was elated when I found it at B&N. However, when I took it home and read it, I was a bit disappointed.

While the premise of this story sounded new and exciting, Bognanni fails to deliver. What could have been a fresh outlook on a teenager's life, turned into a cliche tale of boy-meets-girl, girl-hates-boy, boy-wins-girl's-heart, boy-breaks-girl's-heart.
