It is a an excellent book, but the authors in real life have a controversial past.  Geshe Michael a Roach is a money hungry corrupt compulsive liar and should be in jail for involuntary manslaughter of a young man in Arizona.

hard to hang with this one

Ok. I hate to admit it but even though I've been through the 200 hour yoga teacher training and am an avid yoga enthusiast, much of this book is kind of boring. I have found myself skipping over pages in an effort to get on with the story line. I realize that the message of this book is to give an understanding of how our yoga helps us to help others but it just seems to go on and on and on...
I can't stop wondering how the heck the poor dog (Long Life) is supposed to be surviving while his mistress is being kept locked up in this prison.Sorry but I'm way to much of an animal lover to let this go. Also seems to me that since the main character is doing all this good for the jailkeepers, why the heck aren't they giving her more food, water, and allowing her to keep her dog with her? I'd be demanding it!

I'm more than halfway through but not sure I'm going to make it to the end. This book is a bit of a snooze. Can't relate to the characters and it moves way too slow.

    Highly Recommended for all!

This book is changing my life one day at a time. I read a chapter before practicing yoga. It is a novel that simply weaves the 'how' into the story. A story that, if read by all, would change the universe.

    Highly Recommended

This is a fantastic book for anyone who is looking to take their yoga practice to a deeper level. The book is told in a story-like format which makes it that much more interesting to read and the concepts of well-being are presented very well and are very adaptable to your life.

    Life Impacting

This is the most amazing book that will change your life. Written as a story, it is captivating and exciting. Most astonishing is the fact that you learn as you're entertained. It will leave you feeling good and thinking about choices you make in life.

Perfect for the Yogi or Yogini in your life!

A friend recommended this book and I'm so glad she did; I'm not sure I would have stumbled on it otherwise. Anyone interested in yoga should take the time to read this book. The authors take Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and craft a story that makes them much easier to understand and apply to life.
