Good for general info, but short on detailed steps.
Our local community college uses the book as a companion to a six-session intro to Photoshop Elements. The accompanying CD is very useful for sharpening ones' skills on the basic tools within the program. As a stand-alone guide, however, the book assumes that the reader knows the location and use of most PE tools -- not often the case, especially for a "newbie." So, it is difficult to perform many of the functions without a frustrating search of the menus. Some trial and error is needed to make the exercises work. Was this review helpful? In the absence of a good PE manual, though, the book is better than the alternative.
