    Take a Bow chapter Seven

The man smirked as he watched mackenzies face go from scared to horrified. It was gavin. A junior in high school. Mackenzie and sabrina had both dated him and backed out as soon as they knew the real him. He had succsefully beaten and abused Mackenzie until she was scared to death of him. Unfortunately he had kidnapped sabrina and raped her. She had come out of it with a minor brain injury and several broken bones. Gavin had gotten away with it because he threatened to do it again if she told. She now referred to it as the accident. The few she did tell didnt refer to it as an accident. They called it attempted murder. She agreed but she wouldnt believe it. Her and gavin had dated when she was in seventh grade. It took six months of recovery and if she knew gavin was here she might have a heart attack. Gavin wanted Cole dead last for a reason. Gavin was sabrinas first love and she wanted cole to be her last. Gavin was going to prove that last wasnt always best. Cole had stole Sabrina. Gavin thought by high school she might have thought differently about him. Cole got to her first and now gavin was out for blood. Mackenzie shivered as she was pushed towards Gavin and the large door closed behind her. She looked at the screens and saw cole, a.j. and sabrina. Tears filled her eyes as she saw a.j. sitting with sabrina. She was glad he was safe but she wanted to be with him. Gavin noticed the tears and stood up. He towered over her by a good five inches. She slowly started backing away from him and ran into a wall. He smirked as he corrnered her. He grabbed her hair aggrasively. "Dont run away from me Kenzie. You were mine and you still are." She showed pain and agony in her face and winced. She had an idea and she leaped at the oppurtunity. She bit his hand and punched him in the face. He reeled bck in pain but he still had enough time to kick her in the gut. She crumpled to the floor gasping for air. He leaned down beside her. "Dont ever do that again!" The tears sprang out of her eyes. Julianna walked into the room then. "The feast is ready sir." He nodded send them in in order. Julianna nodded then left. Gavin watched mackenzie and laughed. "You shall love our feast. I remembered your favorite foods Kenzie and it shall be delicious." She looked at him and spat in his face. He wiped it away and slowly stood up. He viewed the screens and hit a button. Another man came inside. "Take her to dinner." The man grabbed her arm and hauled her out back down the hall. He led her into a room with swinging doors where she saw a long table. She estimated it was 40 feet long. Sabrina was at the head. Mackenzie was seated at the opposite head. Sabrina looked at Mackenzie intensly. It was as if she was asking wheres Cole? Mackenzie nodded hoping she would understand that he was alive. Sabrina then nodded showing a.j. was ok. Mackenzie smiled and then the doors opened again and A.J. was brought in. Mackenzie smiled hoping he would be seated near her. He was seated right in the middle of the two girls. Sabrina waited and waited hoping to see cole about 45 minutes later Cole was brought in bleeding. He was sat at a seperate table away from all of them. Sabrinas eyes dropped and tears filled them. Suddenly a voice filled the room. "Eat. For it could be your last meal." The table was then filled with delactable foods. Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and anything the two girls liked. Sabrina looked up horrified. Her plate read "I see you."

    Chapter one : Overshadowing Peril

This all started when I was 15. Three years ago. I came home from school and was asleep on the couch when my older brother, Zake, came in. My mother has a love for odd names, and that's how we ended up with our names. Anyways, I was asleep with my pet cat, Snow, on my stomach. I woke up as Zake pulled the cat off and then pulled me off also. I looked up at my brother as he lounged on the couch and watched tv. Zake was the most popular kid in his school. All the girls fell for his mocking bright blue eyes. He resembled mother more then father, with his wavy black hair and blue eyes. He stayed outside so long he had tanned skin. I sighed and sat down on the sofa. Mother was worried about both of us. Zake and I both adored black and wore it constantly. This made mom nervous that we had something wrong. Father laughed at us and called us his black fighters, as we had a tendency to fight alot. Anyways. I stretched out on the couch and watched as he flipped through the dvds. He put a dvd that I had never seen before into the dvd player and then went back to the couch. I rolled onto my back and played with Snow. When he had finished the movie he was getting up when I felt a odd pulling on my hands, then my body. Snow leaped off as I was pulled over to the tv. Zake looked back at me questioningly. "Sis, you ok?" I nodded, right before my hands went through the tv screen. I screamed as I felt slimy hands pulling mine into the tv. Zake leaped forward and caught my ankle as I was bodily pulled through the tv screen. We landed with a thump on a warm soft surface. After a few minutes I got up, but abruptly threw myself down again as a crack of light appeared on one side of us. Zake rolled onto his stomach and watched curiously. As the light widened and a shimmery figure entered. It held a candle that gave off a silver light. We both lay still nd watched as the figure rummaged in what appeared to be a chest. It stood up and walked towards us. "Welcome to Lirik." It said in a smooth female voice. Zake pulled me to my feet as he answered. "Uh, thanks." I stayed close to my brother as the figure lighted a few torches on the wall. The enhanced light showed the figure as a slender girl with a silver robe on. She d blond hair and grey eyes. "I am Duria, princess of Lirik." She said slowly. "Who are you?" She asked. "I'm Zake and this is my sister, Xana." He answered. I nodded and kept silent. "Thank God. Our heroes have come at last. Welcome to the palace of Dainar, savers of Lirik." Duria said. (Thanks for reading. Id like your comments and questions at Scarlet Letter. Ask for Selena and I'll answer anything you have to ask. The next chapter will be out soon.)
