Excellent book for general knowledge
The book is amazingly well organized and contains superb visual aids. I'm giving 5 stars because everybody will be able to understand it. A must for the general reader who wants to be aware of the fundamentals of the human body.

Curiosity Gone Wild!
When my young son started asking very detailed questions about female reproduction and was no longer satisfied with my answers, I decided it was time to introduce him to the anatomy of the human body. Children's books aimed to answer the infamous: "where do babies come from?", were no longer of interest to him. He really wanted to know how they grew in a body, and most importantly how they came out. He needed a book that provided realistic pictures to guide him through this journey. Not just about where babies come from but it was time to demystify the human body itself. Although he is a great reader...a picture is still worth a thousand words. DK does a great job blending visuals with concise text. So, from the reproductive system to the digestive system, skeletal and muscular systems and beyond... he has a reference book that will serve him well. We have not even hit the interactive DVD...A must have for every family's bookshelf!

The Human Body Book
IS a good anatomy book for beginners and also includes stuff about common diseases and disorders in the areas, great for reference and for the common person, but would not suggest as a reference to a MD or DO

Great book!
I bought this book as a gift for a friend who is finishing her Masters in Physical Therapy and she said the book is wonderful and helpful! I browsed through it and wanted it for myself! It is easy to understand and the pictures are terrific!

Extremely helpful
As a massage therapy student I've been looking for a comprehensive and interesting book to help me get the gist of anatomy. This book has proven to be very helpful. It has many color images that make the reading easy to follow. The resolution of the images makes it a delight to look it.
I highly recommend it to students and anybody interested in knowing a little bit more about how the body functions.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Great book for students
"The Human Body Book" is a great book for students. The book mirrors the "Body Works" exhibit that is being displayed in many cities throughout the US. My grandson was so impressed with the exhibit and found the book to be extremely helpful with his study of the human body.
