Hunter¿s Moon is the second in the Moon Series by Lisa Kessler.

Hunter’s Moon is the second in the Moon Series by Lisa Kessler. It didn’t take me long to fall back under her magical spell as I started reading this book.
This is Adam’s brother’s Aren’s story. That’s a whole lot of apostrophes to catch you up on where this book is going. Aren is Adam’s twin and in Moonlight, the first book of the Moon Series, Aren always had his brother’s back, no matter if he thought he was crazy for loving a jaguar or not.
Now it’s time to see how the Alpha, Adam responds when he finds out that his brother, Aren has met his mate. It probably would have been a lot easier to swallow if it had been a nice little wolf.  But oh no, that would be too simple, Aren’s mate is the assassin that was trying her best to kill the Alpha’s mate in the first book.
You can’t blame Adam for not trusting Sasha, but his brother’s wolf knows that he loves this little kitty, since Sasha is also a jaguar shifter.
This story is fascinating, riveting, a hold on to the seat of your pants don’t let me get off this ride until I’ve finished kind of book. There are twists and turns, lessons to be learned, trust issues, family pride and unknown family that shows up at a most inopportune time. You never knew what was going to happen next. And with the teaser at the end… I can’t wait to see what happens next!

    A HOT Howling Shifter Romp!!!!!

A HOT Howling Shifter Romp!!!!!                                                                                                                                                           Wow! Loved it! IF you love hot shifter romps on the wild side, pick up this book! I'm a HUGE Lisa Kessler fan and have inhaled every single book she's ever written. Her books are always must-reads for me. Lisa draws the reader into her stories right away, her characters are always well-developed and there's never a slow period in any of her books.

This is the 2nd book in her Moon series, following Moonlight which was the 1st book in the series. Moonlight introduced Lana, a jaguar shifter and the HOT HOT HOT shifter pack led by our hero, Adam. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and I loved catching up with them in this book.

This book focuses on the story of Aren, Adam's twin brother born just minutes after Adam, and Sasha, ex-police officer and turned-against-her-will jaguar shifter previously affiliated with the nefarious secret Nero organization. We met both of these characters in the 1st book and I honestly couldn't see how they could ever have a "their" story ... but Lisa is truly full of surprises! I loved Aren... he's a sweetheart and Sasha grew on me too (Great Job Lisa!!!!). Every time Aren uttered MINE, my heart melted. We get to meet Sasha's sister and delve more into the pack. I can hardly wait to read more of their stories.

This book could be read as a standalone. Lisa seamlessly fills in what the reader needs to know from the previous book and it's a great story in-and-of-itself, but, I would still highly recommend that the series be read in order.

Excellent Howling HOT Shifter Romance!!!!! 5 stars!!!!!

Sasha and Aren are a great couple. There is so much more to them than the sunshine and roses that romance type books usually have. They have great chemistry and I love that they don't always see eye to eye on everything. This book has romance, mystery, suspense, murder...you name it. If you are a lover of books like this than don't hesitate to read this series. I am new to this series and even though I haven't read the first book it didn't take away from this story at all for me. That to me, makes a great series. I will definitely be going back to read the first book and will be looking forward to the next one.

So, a couple months back I read Moonlight which was the start of Lisa Kessler's newest series The Moon. Now we are progress into the story with Hunter's Moon. Oh yeah, we delve deeper into the series and learn more about Nero. Boy are they bad.

While we are starting to understand the evilness of Nero, we also can't forget about the romance. Yes, we have romance, but it's a bit complicated. If you remember from the first book, you would remember Sasha was a bit of a loose cannon. She still is, but she has a problem in a shape of a werewolf by the name of Aren Sloan. Poor Aren; he finally finds his mate and she's not what he expect. Oh goodness.

Why this book is pretty awesome: 1) We get little more information about the bad guy. 2) Sasha and Aren's relationship is bit complicated. Come on, she tried to kill him in the first book. When more secrets are reveal, somehow more secrets pop-up. So far, I'm finding each story is getting a bit more exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next. As I said Hunter's Moon is pretty awesome. I would advise reading Moonlight first cause you might get a bit lost in this story if you haven't read it first. Other than that, checkout this series if you like paranormals.
