Every book has a predictability value you expect. Good guys will

Every book has a predictability value you expect. Good guys will beat the bad guys and win the girl in the story. It’s how each author presences those predictabilities that make the story. Is there a new idea, new twist that will make this book interesting and stand out amongst the rest. I think author Ali Atwood has done it.
Huntress for Hire had me from the very beginning. I went into this book thinking I’m reading a paranormal although, the further I got in the more I was feeling this was a Sci-Fi. By the end, I was straddling the fence between what genre I was reading and that in itself is a good thing. This meant the predictability went out the window. There are definitely a few twists I did not expect that kept me guessing until the end. The main characters of Kat, Max and Brett were a great combination of tough and romantic. The sex between them was sizzling and erotic (warning to the reader, there is M/F/M action!) without dominating the story. Which in my opinion, too much sex can ruin a good action story.

So what we have here folks is a great story, which plenty of action and intrigue with just enough sex to keep this reviewer happy. Is this worth the read? Most certainly and I plan on reading the Huntress Chronicles series. Excellent work Ms Atwood!

    BTW…Did I mention I LOVE the cover!

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

    Hot, Action Packed Read

Hot, Action Packed Read I was provided with a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
OK I think I’ve calmed down enough to write this review now………… I think………. Yep ready to go.
Kat is an ex-cop turned PI with supernatural abilities, who’s trying to get her PI business off the ground and also has a serial killer from the future after her.
Who better than to help her than 2 super-cops from the future, Max and Brett.
This book is certainly a page turner and full of action. I love all the interaction between the characters in the book.
The adult scenes are enough to have you running for a cold shower and are not over done
The book nicely introduces the other characters in the series and links them to this book without confusing you.
The book is in no means predictable and has the eyebrows rising in one or two place because you just didn’t see it coming!
The characters are well developed and easy to connect with. Kat is a bad ass girl who doesn’t really fear tough situations but is emotionally vulnerable. The vulnerability keeps her grounded and real. Max & Brett are 2 super-sexy brothers who both have eyes for Kat and even though they are there for a job they can’t resist the bad ass sexy chick.
    Enjoyable read.

Wow. Just wow. This book was really quite interesting. I love ho

Wow. Just wow. This book was really quite interesting. I love how Atwood seamlessly combined many genres of literature into a single novella. Although listed as an erotic novel (which it definitely is), it also has a very strong paranormal suspense component to it.

This novella was very well written. Atwood lays out her story clearly, progressing from one point to the next. And yes, it does have a definite storyline. The suspense that she builds throughout is very compelling. The descriptions and narrative that she employs were also very compelling. Many of the scenes in this novella were vividly realistic.

The characters in this novel were all very unique. Atwood developed them all extremely well considering the shortened page count of a novella, while still leaving more to be discovered in a sequel. I thoroughly enjoyed finding out the family histories of the main characters. Knowing where they came from helped explain who they were today. I also appreciated that the characters were not simply developed emotionally and personality wise, but also physically. You can clearly picture what each and every one of the main characters looks, sounds, and feels like.

This was a very intriguing, very compelling read. I couldn’t put it down at all. I’d love to read many more adventures with these characters.

Please note that I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

Private Investigator, Kat Monroe has a few secrets and grew up k

Private Investigator, Kat Monroe has a few secrets and grew up knowing that she wasn’t exactly like all the other kids around. She is a huntress with predatory speed and lightning fast reflexes. However when a sadistic killer sets his sights on her she is thrown into an unknown world.

When Kat meets Max and Brett Jericho she is unaware that they are actually time traveling supercops from the future on assignment to bring the killer after Kat to justice. Even as Kat’s world becomes deadlier, she is blown away by the gorgeous Jericho brothers. When Kat can no longer control her bodies’ wants and needs she ends up in bed with Max and Brett fulfilling her every desire.

Determined not to hide and take down the killer, Kat opts to set herself up as bait and travels three hundred years into the future. With both Max and Brett looking out for her, what could possibly go wrong?

I really enjoyed this book. I started this book this morning and I found myself turning page after page dying to know what would happen next. The whole concept of the book kept me intrigued. I found the world that Ali created was exciting where anything was possible. I will most definitely be looking into reading more books by Ali Atwood. I will also have to look into the next book in the series Huntress at Large.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
