Be prepared to laugh this Thanksgiving! I Know and Old Lady Who

Be prepared to laugh this Thanksgiving! I Know and Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie is a hilarious romping good time.

A Thanksgiving twist on the old song, I Know an Old Woman That Swallowed a Fly, this picture book will be sure to please! The old woman stuffs more and more ridiculous things down her throat as she grows larger and larger.

The writing and illustrations are perfect together and combine to make one quirky and hilarious book.

    Funny Tale for November

A light hearted tale for the month of November. The text is written in rhyme which draws a pre-k or kindergarten reader in with ease. The children enjoy repeating the sentence "Perhaps she'll die" followed with many laughs. I use the book for comprehension purposes in the classroom as well a quick counting review.

    Fabulous Find!

I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Pie is one of the best find for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is an adapation of the old classic rhyme, I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, with a Thanksgiving twist. She eats and eats until she blows up like a balloon, and flies in the Thanksgiving parade. It's hysterical, and little ones love it. The cadence is wonderful, and a blast to read aloud! Judy Schachner's illustrations are colorful, and silly, somewhat like Nadine Bernard Wescott's [The Farmer Brown Series, Lady With The Alligator Purse]. If you're looking for a hilarious book for young children say 3 to 7 then this may fit the bill.

A delight for children to read

This book is a delight as is the original 'I know an old lady who swallowed a fly'. It's a great story for young children to follow along and the use of repetition allows children to pick up the story quite easily. Great pictures to look at! I would recommend this to everyone!
