A loving must read!

My son just learned to say "I love you" and reading The I Love You Book helps with him talking. We enjoy sitting together and reading out loud or just listening to the read to me option. We really enjoy this book.

Definitely read this yourself

One of the reasons for reading to children is so they learn to read with expression. The narrator of the Parr books is horrible, someone should have taught him to read better. I'm not satisfied with how much I spent for it to sound like that.

    Not recommended

Yes this book has nice illustrations and it's a cute store line but DON'T buy the read-to-me ereader version. The reading is VERY dry and uneventful. I like to read to my daughter with expression and enthusiasm. This book has NONE. It has a very monotone voice and is dull and borning. I'm sorry I purchased it.

Terrible narration of a cute book

The book is cute, but the narrator is terrible. His reading is dry, expressionless, and unappealing.

    Valentine's Day Is Coming Soon

This is an adorable picture book that's perfect for Valentine's Day. The colorful illustrations are made to look like a child would actually draw them, so they can be immediately identified by young readers. A fun and loving book.

    great book about unconditional love

I really love this book, and my three-year-old daughter does, too. The pictures are bright and simple but also communicate the different settings and emotions perfectly. The sentiment is that the mommy or daddy loves his or her child no matter what - when she's scared, brave, sick, well, sleeping, refusing to sleep, etc. I also love how the parents and children are all different colors - yellow, orange, blue, tan, etc. Highly recommended for young children!

    Wonderful Book!

This is a cute book. The characters are a bit quirky at first but as you read his books they become quite enduring. My 5 yr old thought this book was funny. It is also easy enough to read that beginner readers can read it.

I am really becoming a Todd Parr fan. His simple books send such lovely messages. I have found that books that are simple with few words speak so loudly to kids. The loud colors and outragous characters keep the kids attention also.

    Don't Buy

Love this author but the narration on this is atrocious as if the reader were on a heavy dose of cough syrup and boredom. Too bad these weren't monitored better for their entertainment value. This reader did a disservice to the overall heartfelt message of this sweet book.

It's ok. Could have been better.

Used on Nookcolor. With the 'read to me feature' the readers intonation and sound of voice was unpleasant and flat. The words were unnecessarily small for the Nook, since there aren't that many words on the page anyway. Colors and pictures pretty good. My 3 yr old grandson seemed to like it ok but he was also distracted with his first exposure to the Nook. Maybe better in a regular paper book. I could take it or leave it. A little long for the type and subject also.

    Cute Book, Terrible Narration

This book is really cute to read but the narrator for the 'read to me' version is awful. My nephew, who has loved all of the read to me books so far, hated this one.

    Disappointed

I didn't like this (read me) book at all. It amazes me what gets printed these days. Maybe it's the voice that makes me not like it. The voice is boring and shows no feeling at all. Maybe if a woman's voice read it, it would be better. I liked what the story was about, but it missed it's mark in the "read me" version.
