With a title like this, you could hardly go wrong. And you won't

With a title like this, you could hardly go wrong. And you won't with Nancy Trafuri's charming book.
I started reading this book to my little boy when he was about ten months old and inflicted with chickenpox (poor baby). This book reads like a gentle lullaby, with refrains and repeating lines within the verses. That mild undulation would calm him down before his naps. He also was quite taken with the sweet illustrations, especially the deer's and rabbit's eyes.
Because my son still is so taken with the drawings, he likes to pull this book off the shelf and "read" it himself. I'm quite glad I bought the book in board book form to stand up to his love.

We had this book in the nursary at my church. One little girl (4) loved it, she did come from an upsetting home situation where her mom was not really around. She would insist on me reading it, we'd sit on the floor, her on my lap and i would read. She was always so happy and would ask me to read it again once we finished. Now that im expecting my own little one i look forward to reading it to him, a confermation that a mothers love is never ending.

    Kindermusik reading material

This book is great for toddlers! During the past few music sessions my 2 year old attended, this book has been read by her music teacher. This story relates to the animal music theme songs that my little girl and her classmates are learning this semester.

    Daughter loves it.

My daughter loves this book. She brought it home from school and we had to go buy it when the school book went back. The other lady thinks kids should never doubt if they are loved. She should read the book "Are you my Mother." She probably hates that one too, because her daughter will begin to think the dog is her mother. Get serious. This is a nice book.

    Should a Child Question/Doubt a Parent's Love?

This book had great potential from looking at the title, but as I read it, I was greatly disturbed. On every other page in the book, the baby animal says, 'Mama, do you love me?' The mother then assures the baby animal it is loved. ...But my concern is that children should not even THINK to ask this question, and I feel that this book might encourage a child to wonder (or worry) about whether or not his/her mother loves him/her. I do not recommend this book at all!
