    Another great Robert McCammon story

I'm convinced that it is impossible for Robert McCammon to write a story that doesn't have you hooked after the first two paragraphs.
I'll admit that I was a little concerned about the main character being a vampire, with such a recent onslaught of TV shows and books featuring the genre. But, not to my surprise, McCammon being the talented writer that he is, approached the subject from a unique angle and delivered a story that draws you in and leaves you hoping for a sequel.
Vivid images and great story telling make this a great book.

    Please give us more Lawson!

Ended much too soon... awesome character... tons of potential with both the protagonist and The Dark Society. Hopefully the wait for more is not long!!!

    Good book

Robert McCammon still has it, I'm sure there will be a sequel. I hope.

    So close

I love McCammon's prose, but he's missing sub conflicts that attach you to the characters in this book. There's the overall plot, which is quick and fun, but I'm left not really thinking about the characters or even caring what happens to them next. Still, it's better than most of the books I read.
I would have given this book four stars if at any point in the novel I had formed an emotional attachment to Lawson.

Mr. McCammon has done it again, left me wanting more! I certain

Mr. McCammon has done it again, left me wanting more! I certainly hope there will be a continuation of this wonderful character, Trevor Lawson. It is a different take on the old subject of vampires. I love his Matthew Corbett series and would love to see this become, at the least, a trilogy. To me, a great book is one where you don't want the story to end and Robert McCammon always fill the bill.
