I have read all of Ellen Hopkins books. And before I read this book, Impulse was my favorite. And I didn't think she could write another book any better. But she did. Identical is the best book I have ever read. I couldn't put the book down once I started. And the ending was amazing. Not predictable AT ALL. Which was the best part. I can't wait till her next novel.

Good Book...But Intense

this book was given to me for an independent reading project in 10th grade english. worth the read but disturbing. with drugs, sex, rape, and other scandals wrapped into one book you should think carefully before buying.

    heartbreaking

I am I huge fan of Ellen Hopkins and have tried to keep up with her work through the years. When i found this book on Barnes and Noble nook I must be honest I was a little hesitant about reading due to the other reviews as well as the summary that had been given about the book.

At times it was hard to follow which twin was talking if you weren't paying close attention. But,in the end it was a overwhelmingly tragic yet beautiful story that Ellen Hopkins paints of us in poetry format as she does with all of her books.

    OKAY

I gave it 3 stars because it's worth the read. I have all of Ellen's books and I love most of them. This book was okay...I figured out the spoiler not even halfway through the book. Once you figure it out, the book isn't good what-so-ever. She could have been more vague with the dialog between some of the characters and a little less vague with one "character." Sorry I can't elaborate more, but I don't want to spoil the book for other people that haven't read it.

    Good book

This was the first book I ever read by this author. I liked it; however, I hated the format she chose to write it. I think the story is so compelling that it should've been written in a traditional format.

I must say, however, she tackled quite a few different issues (sexual abuse, drugs, eating disorders, etc) and I was completely shocked with the last part of the book. If it had not been for the last part, I would have thought the book was mediocre. It was a good drama type book; however, I've definitely read better. If you're interested in messed up family issues, I would recommend The Darkest Child.
