    If you like Chelsea Handler...

When I bought Chelsea Handler's latest book, the cashier told me about Laurie Notaro. The way she explains her life adventures is hilarious. I brought this book on a cruise and while flying to my destination, I was laughing so hard I was crying. My seat partners started laughing, it was contagious. I'm definitely going to get her other books.

    Loved it.

I had been looking forward to reading this book a lot after reading her other book 'I Love Everybody' (which I loved), I did enjoy this one but not as much. I did get a little annoyed where in one essay she's talking about one person, and then in the next she mentions them again and tells you all about them again, it's like I know, I just read that, although since they're essay's maybe that's why. I'd still like to read her other book too.

    For a good laugh!

This book was a funny read. If you want to read something that isn't deep but light humor - you will enjoy. I was dissapointed in some of the things that she said, but at other times found myself laughing hysterically at some of her episodes.

    Must have FUN READ!!

I bought this book on a whim, and it is SOO FUNNY! I kept finding myself saying "that is so something that would happen to me and my friends!" I lent the book to all my close gal pals, and everyone else loved it too! You know it's a good book when you have to share it with your friends so that you can all talk about it together later!!

    Slice of life

Another entry in the new genre of reaffirming that life is a strange critter. Perhaps a bit heavy on archtypes, but life is like that, too. A good read.

    Twin thumbs raised.

All right, I admit it, I picked this book up because Ms. Notaro made the transition from iUniverse P.O.D. publishing to a major publishing house. Also, I admit that I can't relate to some of the material and situations in the book because I'm not female, but that doesn't make it any less funny. You won't be sorry for picking this one up. Just a word of advice, it is that funny, and from one of the reviews I saw 'wet-your-pants funny.' My suggestion is that if you're in a public place, read it in the restroom.

    My sides really, really hurt.

That's because I read this book while taking the train to work and I had to stifle the hysterical laughter that threatened to escape, thereby drawing lots of unwanted attention. This book is an absolute riot and I loved it! The colorful details and edgy humor kept me thoroughly entertained. The copy editing of the essays is poorly done, but the content is masterful!
