    The Title is misleading

If you are looking for something written as Patrick F. McManus would write it...you are going to be disappointed. The title leads you to think it will be a completely entertaining book with funny stories, but while some might have some humor, they are not that caliber. There are some that are more reality based and personal reflections which are thoughtful, but that isn't what I was looking for when I bought the book.

    Awesome Book

The way Bill Heavey writes about his experiences in outdoor sports is absolutely hilarious! There are constant laughs in most of his stories, because we can all relate to most of those experiences. Other stories, however, have a more touching side to them. Whenever I pick this book up and start reading, I have a difficult time returning it to the table. I would recommend this book to any outdoorsman or woman, or, anyone looking for a laugh, for that matter.

    Amusing

An intersting and mildly funny book. He is, however, not the equal to Pat McManus.

    Great Read

Though not a hunter or fisherman myself Bill Heavey gives a look at what it would be like to be the schmoe doing it. He never claims to be the "Great Hunter/Fisherman". The storys are quick-witted and some had me almost in tears with thier humer. This is a hunters book if they want to know what its like to not be "Mr. Dearhunter".

    more from this reviewer

I gave this book as a Christmas gift to my sister and her boyfriend and they loved it!

Searching endlessly for a humor book involving hunting, my co-worker suggested this one and it has been a hit. Visiting my sister and her boyfriend recently, she told me that they both love the book. I highly recommend it if you have an outdoors hobbiest in the family.
