I was very excited to listen to the album after reading all the great reviews. But the music itself is completely disappointing. Their voices are really not that spectacular, and the arrangements are uninteresting. Whoever called it Popera is absolutely correct - it's not real classical music, and shouldn't be in that category. There are some really good vocalists out there, and for this album to be so popular is a sad commentary on music listeners.

    "Popera" is correct

If you really want to hear opera, buy yourself a CD of Placido Domingo or Luciano Pavarotti or Renee Fleming or Maria Callas or another great OPERA singer. I'm sorry but these are not great opera singers - some of them haven't even been classically trained. Stop thinking that people like Charlotte Church or Il Divo or Grobin or Bocelli are great opera singers because they are not! If this music makes you happy all the more power to you but it's not great opera - it's not even opera.

    Yet More British Rubbish

This is bloddy awful -- get a bunch of goodlooking guys together you can sell anything -- they could just as well sell food choppers. No wonder classical music is in trouble.

I thought perhaps that the other reviewer was just bitter, but he is 100% correct. This is an terrible CD, and it cannot be qualified as classical music. Anyone who is a true fan of classical music would not buy this album, which is merely cheap, hollow Adult Contemporary masquerading as something new. There is no imagination or depth to the music, and listening just leaves you hungry for real music. These gentlemen cannot be fairly compared to any Opera or Classical Vocalist, because their voices do not have the timbre or quality necessary for the pieces selected. All in all a sad attempt at music.
