Born in Port Jervis, New York, I left after high school to join the Army. After a three year stint serving both in the US, Japan and Korea, I returned to the states, with no plan in mind, eventually going on the road with my brothers who were successful rock-n-rollers, known as "The Kalin Twins." I was allowed to sit in with the back up bands as a faux saxophone player and wannabe singer. I enjoyed my time then, traveling around the country, getting to know alot of people and basically seeing most of the country. l learned alot about life and to this day I am still crazy about rock-n-roll. I am married to a Peruvian girl and living the good life in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I have two sons who live in Virginia and I am also a grandfather, five times over, the latest being added to my collection just one week ago today (born 8/19/12). The mother, coincidentally, is also a Peruvian, and her husband, my oldest, is a teacher in Fairfax, Virginia. My youngest son, who also lives in Fairfax, works for the Treasury Department five days a week, but does the Lord's work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for which I am so proud. He is also working on a book. I have come to the conclusion that Myrtle Beach is the most beautiful city I have ever been in and now that I am retired, plan to devote my time to writing.
