    Highly recommended.

This book was hilarious! I never laugh out loud while reading yet I can't count how many times I did reading this.

The book is in third person and mostly through Ryan's POV. Basically half of the book follows Ryan's life with his four friends as they go through the hell that is military BCT, which is actually a lot funnier than it sounds. The best part of it is the Drill Sergeants, who our heroes are very sure are out to kill them. The Drill Sergeants are loud and when they get in your face THEY GET ALL UP IN THERE. You sometimes feel pity for the way they treat the privates but you can't help but laugh at their creatively profane insults. That's the majority of what the first half of the book is but there is also a lot of sexual tension between Ryan and Drill Sergeant Grabowski on the side.

The other half of the book is a lot more emotional. It's five years into the future where the characters have settled into their own routine and relationships. Though this half does have a lot to do with that it generally revolves around the stress and danger of being in the army or having loved ones in the army. The emotion of it all is really strong and I actually had tears in my eyes. However, it still has it's moments of hilarity.

Well this was just supposed to be a quick review because I couldn't believe there weren't any. Basically all there is to it is:
If you love dirty humor, drama and deliciously buff men in uniform THIS IS FOR YOU!

    Great read

I really enjoyed this story. I thought it all took place during Basic Training but I was wrong, it actually spans over a number of years.

There is some humor, some tension, some worry, some angst, a lot of friendship and even more love. Watching it develop in the Army environment really put a unique twist into the story. We could only wish the Army was truly this accepting of GLBT's.

    Loved it!

It's been a while since I really enjoyed a good book, but this was an incredible story and not cut from the same mold as many m/m books out there right now. Would that all could live free like that.
