The third installment of the Story of Quaeryt and the evolution

The third installment of the Story of Quaeryt and the evolution from Lydar to Solidar and the establishment of the Collegium Imago, Modessitt picks up the story after the battle of Ferravyl and tells the rest of the story all the way up the river to Varaina (which will become L’Excelsis).  The character development and conflict are equal to Modessitt’s high standards and the action is continuous, appropriate to the place & time and rolls along from the first chapter to the last.  Once again, a good tale told by a Master Story Teller.

One of my favorite science fiction authors!

I really enjoy this series. This author never disappoints and I can hardly wait the next book to come in January. I have many, many books by this author and have enjoyed each and every one.

    Good story

The book is excellent. I object to paying as much for an electronic copy as for a hardcover however. Someone is being greedy.

    A Must Read

Like all of Modesitt's books this is a must read and own. He has long been a favorite of mine, and this book just adds to that. I have already read it twice.

Worthy addition to a good series.

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the previous editions in this series. I am a long time fan of Modesitt's books and this one is as good as his previous efforts. It appears from the ending in this book that there will be more coming. I certainly hope so and look forward to reading them.

    Job well done!

Q is drawn further in to battle and we are sitting in as the conflict that will either make or break the imagers progresses. Finely spun is the tale that with victory comes pain and sadness. The author leaves us waiting for him to bring forth the next part of the tale of our favorite "lost ones". Kudos on such a wonderful woven adventure.

Excellent read for Imager fans, with hints of another book (I hope) to tie this series into the first Imager series...Not a good entry into the series (starting at the beginning is best), but highly satisfying.
