    yay

This book is about a teenage mother. It is very touching. You really feel for the characters and come to sympathize with other teenage mothers. The ending is tragic, but leaves room for hope. Overall a good read.

    A reviewer

This is an outstanding novel as it demonstrates the different aspects that make up a centralized idea of a different kind of life than what most people are used to. Connie Porter has the power to change her readers' views and opinions by creating characters that undergo life-changing experiances. I laughed and cried with the characters while reading this book for the first time and every time after. This is a powerful novel and it changed my mind about a lot of common issues.

    A Vivid Glimpse of Reality

This book was so descriptive it actually made me feel as though I was a part of her life. She brought you through her ups and took you down her downs. I laughed and cried while reading this book and could not put it down! This was one of the best books I have ever read, but if you plan on reading it brace yourself for a surprising and tragic ending!

    Good read

The story of Tasha and Imani is powerful, it kind of serves as a tale of a young girl that does not have self confidence and feels unloved. This little baby , Imani is what brings Tasha to life. It was a kind of a let down that she got pregnant again. I loved this book and could not put it down.It made me laugh and cry and it made me reflect. It made me think to always protect myself, and be aware of my surrounings, because no matter whereyou go people are out to hurt you!

    Imani All MIne

In This book I see a struggling African American going through alot but doing what she gotta do to take care of her baby. She is only 15 and has a baby she still is a baby, she was not ready to become a mother but because of the rape she barely had no choice. Imani was heres and all hers. When she looked in Imani's eyes she saw herself and that was the first commintion to her adulthood. When ya read this book ya just dont wanna stop, when they cry ya just wanna feel like cryin it is a very touching story. Where Tasha live it is very dangerous. Her neighborhood is the type of place where ya can see dead bodies all over the place when you step outside of your house. This book is very dramatic and like real life so you will feel the pain!

    Imani All Mine

This book was a real eye opener for me on a personal level. Ms. Porter made Tasha seem like a real person to me. Because there are so many females that are living the same life as Tasha did. I really enjoyed this book. It was off da hook!!!!!

    Very Good Book!

I think the book was a real eye opener for a teenager to see how other teenage mother's live in a different state, especially New York. I was suprised at how the book ended and it made me sad but im glad it made Tasha and her mom become a little bit closer and i think everyone should read it. I especially love the meaning of her Tasha's daughter's name 'Imani' which means faith! =]

    Excellent book

The format in which this book was written was different from any other I've ever read, but after I adjusted, the story flowed wonderfully!! Very well expressed! I recommend this book, not only for teens, but also adults.

    GREAT BOOK-GOOD LESSONS! WELL WRITTEN

THIS BOOK WAS AN EXCELLENT ONE. I LOVE HOW THE AUTHOR PRETRAYS TASHA AS AN HONOR STUDENT WITH A CHILD, AND NOT SOME KNOCKED UP HUSSIE THAT TEENAGE MOMS ARE STREOTYPED TO BE. THIS BOOK HAD ME INTRESTED FROM START TO END, WITH A SUPRISING ENDING.

    Life!!! A heart touching story.

I absolutely loved this book. It was wonderful. It was so real. The language, the details everything in this book was real. I cried at the end of the book. I felt for Tasha and her mother. It was a very touching and scary reality for Tasha and her mother to live but they made it through. I couldn¿t believe the way I was stuck in this book. I finished it in less then 2 weeks. I would say read it. No matter where you are from or what you are into.

The Best Book of All Time

Imani All Mine was the best book I have ever read. I am usually not big on reading, but after one paragraph I was instantly hooked. This book went through everything from the difficulties of being a teenage mother, to gang violence, to the heartache and pain so many people go through in life. It was such a great book though. Humor, happiness, love, anger, every emotion possible was displayed in this book. This was the best book ever and I recommend it to everyone.

    Excellent read!!!

Imani All Mine, was a great book. I truly enjoyed reading every page. Most of the events that happened to it's main character, really happens in a young mother's life in the black community. The ending is unsuspected, riveting, and a true heartbreaker..... As a 17 year old myself, I feel that this author touched on some really good points in her book, that most teens are vaguely aware of. (ie.. the responsibility of raising a child) I would recommend this book to African-American teens, and even adults to read.

    Beautiful

I really enjoyed this book to the fullest! I am 16 and I don't have any kids but my peers around me do, but when I read this book and saw how Tasha had so much love for Imani I felt it too! The end of the book was so unexpected but I do recommend this book to any child, or teenager who has a baby or is thinking of having one, you could learn alot from Tasha and Imani!

    Wonderful Story!

I read this book some time last year and ever since then, I've been raving about this book to everyone! As a Black teen, I have to say that this is a beautifully written story that leads people into the life of a teen going through real-life situations and choosing to go on despite her dreadful trials and tribulations. My compliments to the author!!! Absolutely wonderful!
