I LOVE this book. I have read it twice since it came out. Not
I LOVE this book. I have read it twice since it came out. Not because it was confusing, but just because I was sad that it was over and wanted to savor it. If you have not read the other books in this series, it will probably be very confusing at first. The solution to that is simple, head on over and grab yourself Sterling. Be prepared, you will want to read all three all in a row.
Now onto here are a few of the things I love about this book:
*Really it all comes down to the characters. I love them or hate them or wish I could know them. I get mad at them, want to hug them, cry for them, and sometimes want to smack them upside the head. Frankly, it is quite freaky how real they are to me. Dannika gets an A plus for creating these amazing characters.
*Relationships: The relational dynamics explored in this story are so multidimensional and authentic. I know the fan fave is the love relationship between Silver and Logan, but there are so many more. You have the brotherly relationships between Logan and both his brother and his "adopted" brother (sorry trying to stay unspoilery). You have the friendship relationships between so many characters. You have the father/daughter type relationship strengthening between Justus and Silver. There are so many and they have multiple levels. I think this probably goes back to her creation of "real" characters.
*Love, Love, Love the lore and the world she has created. It keeps expanding and growing with each book.
*I could not put this book down. I seriously counted down the days until it was ready and then devoured it.
*I had so many theories about what was going to happen in this book and pretty much all of them were wrong. Dannika does not go with the obvious, or the formula I read over and over again. She is full of so many surprises. I wish I could share my biggest surprises with you, but they would so ruin the story.
* Simon's Humor.
I am getting dangerously sharing to much so I will stop here. My review in a nutshell: If you have read the previous books, this one will not disappoint and will most likely surprise you at least a few times, so run out and get it! If you have not read this series, run out and get Sterling and make a go. FYI Sterling was recently reedited to make it even more awesome This book is for an 18 plus reader.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

I read "Sterling" (bk #1) and "Twist" (bk #2
I read "Sterling" (bk #1) and "Twist" (bk #2) in the Mageri Series back to back and had to suffer the wait for "Impulse" the third installment. Definitely worth the wait! Dannika has outdone herself. Each book was better than the previous one and "Impulse" was fantastic!!
I've said it before, with the Mageri series, its a bit difficult to write a review without spilling the beans. Its such an awesome series, you want to share specifics as to why but again, don't want to spoil it for those that haven't read it (YET)!
I LOVED "Impulse". I devoured it! I even contemplated not going into work just to read it. Atlas, I did go to work, but woke up an hour earlier just to read it.
Silver and Logan's relationship has continued to develop and she has begun to truly understand what being in such a relationship would entail. you'll get to see things from both Silver's and Logan's side. Dannika has included some "real world" scenarios, making the Mageri world and the story more believable and real.
We do dive deeper into the Mageri and Breed worlds in "Impulse and get to even more new characters and breeds. I will say that many readers have been raving and wanting to know more about one new character specifically. Sorry, can't tell you anything else.... No. Really, I can't. It would spoil.... alright, alright. I'll let you know he's sexy and muah, muah, muah (evil laugh) that's all I'm saying!!
If you're a Justus fan, you'll definitely be happy and will love "Impulse" as we finally start to get some insight to this gorgeous, mysterious Mage.
There's action, romance, mysteries and you'll love it all.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

The long awaited third book of the Mageri Series was phenomenal.
The long awaited third book of the Mageri Series was phenomenal. I hate to think I have to wait again for book four. Impulse was so different than Sterling and Twist. Dannika gave so much more attention to her other characters such as Adam, Novis, Logan and Justus. The Mageri series has evolved so much since the first book Sterling. It began with such a simple story of a girl who was involuntarily changed into a Mage. Each book since Dannika has added a little more mystery, a little more action and intense love triangles. Impulse was the blow up book because there was so much action, romance and tragedy. Dannika really pulls at your heart strings in Impulse. By now you bonded with the characters and just hope for their happy endings, but there are never happy endings. Impulse was incredibly hard to put down. I cannot wait to see what happens in book four.

Action packed!!!
Fast paced, well written, a bit on the big, strong, manly side. A worthwhile heroine, if impulsive. A good read.

So, this series keeps tacking on more emotions and bigger plots
So, this series keeps tacking on more emotions and bigger plots and just keeps on escalating. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I like who Silver is romantically involved with, I mean who wouldn't, right? But it's so hard not to care for the other males because their characters are so stellar! I believe my heart goes out the most to Adam, though. Poor guy can't get ahead for nothing and I guess there's a small part of me that'd love to see him win Silver's heart. I don't know why I feel like that, but the thought just keeps tugging at me... Anyway, Christian just cracks me up with his witty remarks. I enjoy him immensely! And Mr. dashing Simon? Ah, I can't get enough of him. He's just in a completely different category than anyone else. I hope there's a series based upon just him at some point because I can't even imagine all the things Dannika could explore with his character. It was good to get a little insight into Justus's character. I'm wondering if him and the Dr. are going to have some sort of relationship... I think she'd be able to break through his barriers, so I'm curious to see if I'm right about that or not. I've said it before and I'll say it again, what really makes this series work for me is that I'm genuinely interested in ALL the characters. And that's what really makes this such a brilliant series. I really can't wait to read more and I highly recommend this series to anyone whose looking for romance, action, drama and a splash of comedy. -- lorraine
