    WOW-2 sitting read.

Wow. Just finished IN THE DARK in a 2 night sitting. Loved it. There was a hug double mystery in the storyline that came together at the end. And it was an explosive ending. I saw some of it but not all of it and it had that "cliff-hanger ending." At the beginning the narraitve swings back and forth from past to present. I had to acclumate my self to that. There were several heroines that you like. And the mystery plays into like them more. Can't wait to read another of his books.

    Loved it!

Fast-paced, intriguing read. Lots of twists and turns, but the real gem is the love story within. I would recommend it to anyone!

A Good Series Story that Reads Well as a Stand Alone

I didn't realize this novel was part of a series, and only deduced it when the author started providing more background history information on the characters that seemed necessary for the story. However, not having read any of his other books did not present any problem, as this reads very well as a stand alone novel. The author throws in enough twists and turns, revealing bits and pieces about each of the characters so your suspision of "who dunit" is always uncertain. I was totally taken off guard when the real killer was revealed.

    I Also Recommend:

    Good Murder/Suspense Novel

This novel is a great addition to the series. The tie ins with Stride's past makes you think about how much we know about the people closest to us. Brian Freeman came to a mystery book club to speak about one of the earlier books in this series. If you can be sure to go to a signing. Brian gives you good insight into his process and in answering all those questions.
