The Rhythm and Rhyme of animals in the wild radiated by beautiful chalk-like outlined illustrations, brings this book to life.

A sweet display of easy to read poems with beautiful illustrations. In the Wild is one of those children's books that will have a child asking for a repeat read, again and again. From the lion's roar, free to roam to the polar bears flowing swim. Children will delight in the large illustrations and print. This book keeps the poems short, using easy to read sound out words, which will have children repeating the rhymes in no time at all. I recommend this book as a great read for infants. It is perfectly engaging with bursts of colorful outlined illustrations. The best kind of pictures to draw a young eye in for a closer look and keep it there, which stimulates the curiosity and the mind. I don't think this book would be a good choice for children over five as they might lose interest in it after the first read. However all children learn at a different level so don't let that stop you from enjoying this wonderful book with that special child in your life.

Strong, robust, striking illustrations and sensitive, clever poems that perfectly capture the nature of each animal. How refreshing not to have an ounce of cuteness in a book depicting animals!  The jaguar skulks, the elephant almost jumps off the page, while the snow covered buffalo stares, motionless.
    This one is a keeper.
