The Final Word in Conceiving
If you are trying to conceive and sick of dr's telling you all about their artificial, chemical, hormonal, and expensive treatments - this is the book for you. You can do it and do it totally naturally thanks to Dr. Lewis. I was told I would never have children and was pregnant within 6 months of reading this book and implementing the program. I now have three healthy children and hope to have more. A must read!!!!!!

positive re-enforcement for getting pregnant
This book is absolutely amazing. Easy to read & understand. I was absorbed within the first chapter & couldnt put it down. My mother also bought a copy so that over the distance she could learn & understand what I'm going through. If you have any doubts about getting pregnant or the effects of acupuncture to help fertility, read this book. It will inspire hope & faith in Naturally getting your hormones balanced & healthy for producing babies. It is a definite permenant book on my shelf for future reference if needed! I recommend it to anyone to read whether you are learning acupuncture for fertility or just need an insight to a healthier way of getting pregnant.

Changed my body
I was told that the only real chance I had of getting pregnant was with IVF and a donor egg. That was not a path I wanted to take. I found this book and the website The Fertile Soul. 4 months after reading the book and following the program of acupuncture and diet for my issues, I was pregnant completely naturally. I am due in about a month. So far, the baby appears to be perfect.

Very Enlightening
I bought this book after doing a lot of online research about high FSH levels. I found it to be extremely interesting. Readers learn that the fertility business is just that... a business! I found this book when I was extremely discouraged and had really lost any hope of getting pregnant. I followed some of Dr. Lewis' dietary suggestions - no wheat, dairy, gluten, etc, and followed through with acupuncture, yoga, and massage. I am pleased to say that I am now 8 weeks pregnant and everything seems to be going really well. I was told that I would never be able to have my OWN children and that my only option was to adopt and egg. If you are in the same situation, I would highly recommend that you read this book. There is a ton of really good information. Good luck and don't let mainstream medicine get you down!

Dr. Lewis will show you that you are NOT Infertile
Dr. Lewis opens her book, on page 9, with a bold-text statement: 'There is no such thing as infertility; it is a myth!' The text, complete with scientific explanations and personal stories of countless former patients who have achieved pregnancy, goes on to convince you of this belief. This book is designed as both an education in the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to the human body, in general, and fertility, specifically, as well as a self-help primer to guide you toward your own fertility. Through Dr. Lewis' diagnostic questionnaire and text, you will identify patterns of symptoms that correlate with your specific imbalances. Often these symptoms would not even seem to be related to your status of having difficulty conceiving. For example, who would have thought that cold feet at night would be a pertinent symptom that needs to be addressed to achieve pregnancy? That's the beauty of this approach, it treats your entire body. For it is your whole being that needs to be balanced in order to achieve the pregnancy that you desire. Once you have identified your imbalance pattern, you can essentially skip to the text that tells you how to treat it. Beware, however, that some of your symptoms may overlap between patterns and it can be confusing at times. Thus, it would be recommended that you also seek the guidance of a licensed acupuncturist who can help you understand your pattern. Perhaps most encouraging is the fact that Dr. Lewis' patients have experienced approximately a 75% success rate of achieving pregnancy. Keep in mind that these are patients who often turned to traditional Chinese medicine after years of failed Western procedures. The approach is empowering, but does require a commitment on your part. You will be asked to change your diet, to modify your exercise routine to include restorative exercise (yoga, Qi Gong), to address your stress levels and implement the tough changes that may be required to lower them, to perform self-administered acupressure or to begin acupuncture, and to begin relaxation techniques. But, the sacrifices you make now might not only help you to conceive, but surely will make you feel more hopeful, empowered, healthy, and whole. This is a text I would recommend for every woman struggling with infertility. Even if you are planning to undergo an ART procedure, this approach can help you to balance your body to bring a healthier you to your R.E.'s table.

This book is stress alone
This book offers waaaay to much dietary advice. Babies are born all the time to people who eat nothing but mac n cheese and ramon noodles. My niece had infertility for over five years that was unexplained. She got pregnant after smoking almost a pack a day and eating crap everyday due to living in poverty level and now is having the baby this month. My mom was 40 and my dad 57 when i was born and they both had the worst diet in the world plus my mom had lots of stress. I know tons of other people who got pregnant on drugs and alcohol. This book offers great advice, but babies are born all the time all over the world and most the population eats everything including fast food.I think this book gave me more stress then reduced it.

After 5.5 years of infertility I got pregnant and have given birth to twins just because I did exactly what she said in the book. It's the best source out there. One stop shop!

Great for infertity
I got this book after my husband and I stop taking fertitly drugs and doing IUI for over a year and a half. I needed a break from the shots and hormones going up and down. This book taught me how to eat right, work on my stress and combined acupuncture while getting my body to work the way it should. I also liked this book because it didn't bash modern medicine. It shows you Western and Eastern medicine. This book gives me hope of one day having our own child. I recommened this book whole heartly.

Helpful, informative, inspiring - but detailed. Wouldn't go at it alone.
I bought this book at the request of my acurpunturist, that I am seeing for infertility. She warned me it was almost too detailed for someone from a patient's perspective, but also said it was one of the only resources out there on this topic. I have used it more as a reference - to better understand what my practitioner is doing at our weekly appointments. From checking my pulse and tounge to what points stimulate what and what herbs treat what at different points in my cycle - the book covers all this and more. But I would not feel comfortable using this book to "self practice" this art. The stories intermingled in the book remind you that you are not alone - and it does work. While my jury is still out, I have seen improvements already in my health and will continue to use this book as a reference throughout this journey.

I Have not purchase the Book
They will let anybody write a review. I think it should only be people who purchase a book. I was just testing to see if I was able to write a review look I did. This shows you that the Arthur can write up all the review he wants.

Confusing
Infertility is a horrible disease, you can be perfectly healthly everywhere else and then find out that in that one small area your body does not work. This book is very confusing, trying to find what defficiency you have is quite a work, basically it turned out I must suffer all problems the author described, even though I was still young when I started trying. But I guess one struggling with this problem will try and believe anything. I do not question the results the author have in her practice, I question the false hope that she gives to women and men that they can help themselves only if they buy the book and follow the advise. Yet the advise it really hard to follow. As for blaming the american diet and the life style, I eat healthly, I exercise, I do not smoke, drink or take drugs yet I have hard time to have a baby, on the other had I know people who are overweight, never exercise, drink, smoke and do drugsand are older and they have babies on the first try. Go figure it out!

A Lifeline!!!
It is highly practical, user friendly and restores hope. There are questions that you answer and based on your answer, you are 'diagnosed' with a certain deficiency or such. It then addresses diet, acupressure points, herbs and such in response to your particular imbalance. It also addresses various Western diagnoses of infertility and responds to each of those with diet, herbs and acupressure points and remedies. If you feel like you are in need of hope in the infertility struggle, PLEASE get this book! Dr. Lewis is on the cutting edge here with 3,000 year old practices! And, beyond all that, you can't beat the price for such hope.

It's about time!
I became pregnant with Chinese medicine after IVF procedures didn't work for me. I've been waiting for an explanation and here's why! This book will become my bible for my next attempt. Thank you, Dr. Lewis

Interesting concepts
When Dr. Randine Lewis used millenniums old Chinese techniques to help her conceive, she later visited China to learn first hand more about Chinese medical practices. There she worked with local doctors assisting Chinese women with reproductive problems while studying infertility remedies. In Houston she opened up the Eastern Harmony Clinic for reproductive enhancement. Dr. Lewis claims her combining Chinese techniques with western medical knowledge have resulted in a success rate of 75%, well above the average.................................... THE INFERTILITY CURE provides an easy to follow self help guide that individuals can use to increase their potential for reproductive success. There is also numerous line drawings that augment the already easy to follow reference book. However, the key to the tome is that Dr. Lewis considers the whole person based on a philosophy that a healthy woman with a positive attitude has a greater chance of triumph in this endeavor or any for that matter than someone who is depressed and lamenting over failures. The book enables the individual to diagnose via detailed a questionnairelisting specific problems. This is followed up by a diet, acupressure techniques, and consumption of herbs to ensure a harmonious healthy body. Though the person should still see their doctor especially to discuss the use of herbs, Dr. Lewis¿ book is easy to follow and more important easy to use............................. Harriet Klausner
