This book was AMAZING. I will admit, it did start off a bit slow so I was skeptical. But when it picked up, it picked up so fast that my head spun! This is definitely a book you should read when you have a lot of time though, not because it is long, but because you won't want to stop reading! Very original story! Reminiscient of Desperate Housewives but soooo much better, imo.

    A Revelation

I was intrigued by the salacious cover but skeptical. Would this just be a trashy beach read? No. The story starts out with the revelation that the local gossip columnist 'we learn who he is later', Anson Larrabee, is dead, in the middle of Eliza Gallahue's party. Then it is all a flashback to find out what happened. We see that Eliza and her friends Victoria, Helen and Leelee all made a pact to cheat on their husbands for one year and not tell anyone. The only person who finds out is Anson Larrabee. Then it becomes sort of a mystery about what happened to him. I found the characters all really well drawn--Victoria was the tough one, Helen the spacey one, Eliza the good girl and Leelee the girl next door. The ending was truly unexpected and I loved learning the backgrounds of these ladies and what made them even entertain the idea of cheating. This is a fun summer read but one that will stay with you on a deeper level. I highly recommend it.
