i love the book. i keep looking at it and finding new things to read about. i think ashley's introduction and mary-kate's conclusion for the book are really great. they must of worked very hard on this. they are extremely lucky to have been able to meet all of these talented people. the books is even better than i expected!

Sticking with the topic at hand...

I have loved the Olsen twins for as long as I can remember, and I must say this book makes me feel as though I have reached a new depth in my relationship with them. Yes, I watched Full House. I've seen all their movies, read all their books, tried out their styles and fashions and products and I have loved every minute of them.

I would definitely recommend reading this book if you, like me, have grown up with them; if you, like me, looked up to them or still do; if you, like me, are interested in their stories and why they have become what they are. If not, don't buy it! Yes, they've made some mistakes. They've had some problems. Who hasn't, quite frankly? But they, in my view, have still earned the right to be and still are my role models.

You have every right to disagree with me. You may believe that they are not good role models, not icons, and have no right to be either one of them. Fine, great, fabulous. Here is not the place for that. I ask you to read this book to gain a deeper understanding of people you may think you know. I enjoyed it immensely.

INFLUENCE is amazing. Ashley and Mary-Kate are truly incredible.

love love love the book. the people the girls interview are very interesting. i was surprised at how much insight you receive about the girls and their views.

Absolutely influential...

This book is great for anyone that loves the Olsen twins or loves fashion! The pictures and interviews are great and to see what these twins have done in their short lives is inspirational. For anyone that can't see that heading three of their own clothing lines at such a young age is amazing, you're just crazy. They have ambition, and live their lives the way they want to. Their aspirations and achievements should be inspirational to anyone. Great book.

Excellent Book - Very Inspiring

I bought the book and I find it interesting and inspiring. Lots of beautiful, high-quality photos of the Olsens as well as of famous people and LOTS of fashion items - drawings, exhibits, artwork, etc. Also candid and revealing letters from famous people as well as personal letters from one Olsen twin to the other. And, of course, interviews of fashion icons and famous designers.
An inspiring, charming, and visually pleasing book.

Missing Something...

There are some cool interviews and yummy looking photographs and is a great ¿coffee table book¿. Maybe this will be a book that grows on me, rather than something that¿s blown me away. But, I kind of wish it were more glossy. I was expecting to be drooling over the pages with a quickened heart beat. The interviews are fun and you get an inside look at how some of the top people in fashion think, and thus how they are successful. But the more interesting parts are with the twins and when they are talking about each other. I wish the book would have been more of an inspiration board with side notes so that readers could get a peak at how the twins think. Overall, I feel a little meh about the whole thing. I can¿t put my finger on exact what it is, but I was expecting more?

Great Book!

If you love fashion, art, photography, ect. this is an excellent book. To me it was fascinating. I even did a book report on it (sophmore year) and got a 98 on my entire project. One of my favorite books most deffinitly.

Everyone loves to hate on the Olsen twins, but you know what, we

Everyone loves to hate on the Olsen twins, but you know what, we all make mistakes. They had their struggles, but they came out on top. They worked hard to get where they are and have a fantastic fashion line to be proud of. I really love the concept of this book: Being able to interview successful people who have inspired you in life and get to know them even better. Who wouldn't want to do that? I'm a sucker for fashion and really enjoyed learning about the girls themselves and the people who inspired them, how they got to where they are now. It's encouraging since some of them started out as lost as myself career wise but now have so much to be proud of. Love it♥

i enjoyed the book a lot! it was a little different than i thought it would be, but it was great overall

Loved Influence by Mary Kate and Ashley

This is a very heartfelt book portrayed by both girls. I can image the planning, time and effort it took to accomplish all of the interviews included. I also love all of the personal pictures gathered and shared by each girl including the massive photo shoot done with each girl personally. I love the introduction page before each of their personal photo shoot spreads. Mary Kate wrote about Ashley and Ashley wrote about Mary Kate. Really cool. The featured iconic fashions and home design throughout the book will be treasured by me as a reminder of each designers skills and influence. The interviews with the designers and artists are revealing, educational and interesting. I loved every page of this book and have poured over it again and again. This project was certainly a labor of love.

What was the point?

Gee, we aren't on full house anymore. We are so cool and wwe hang out with such cool people--and you don't. Oh brother! Liked them better when they were little. At least then they were cute. They look like badly dressed racoons.
