A perfect album in every way!

This is definitely k.d.'s best album and a testament to her incredible vocal talents. Here she sings about love and longing in a way that's heartfelt without sounding sugary sweet. The music is great and creates a very richly layered atmosphere using a variety of instruments (accordian, vibraphone, cello, viola) that will really make you aware of k.d.'s voice and lyrics! The best songs in my opinion are her huge hit "Constant Craving", "The Mind of Love", "Miss Chatelaine", "Save Me", "Wash Me Clean" and "So it Shall Be" which is more than half the album, so that tells you just how wonderful she is! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PLEASE DON'T LET THIS ONE PASS YOU BY!

What a voice -- and can't she use it, though!

Unfortunately, lang's uniqueness leads to all the rather unfortunate comparisons to others (Patsy Cline, for example), and that banal commentary that music writers employ when someone comes along they as yet have no category for. Just listen to her sing. If that don't shake ya up, you're ''soul challenged.''

    kd lang at her best

I bought kd land Ingenue last year and this happens to be my favorite kd lang cd I bought ever. Constant Craving is my all-time favorite and when I hear her sing, I start singing along. My other favorites are Season of Hollow Soul and Outside Myself. If anyone hasn't heard of kd lang, my suggestion is get this cd and judge for yourself.
